MCU has its own history (or stories). You can't expect that long war in one movie/s. Otherwise Captain Marvel won't bother to leave earth in the end of Captain Marvel movie and came back to earth in the Endgame. She was probably in the other side of the universe since it took hella long time for her to came back to planet C-53.

I'm not a huge fan of this Kree / Skrull arc either. I hope they can keep it simple. Specially since they are also dealing with time travel which I dislike for different reasons. Primarily because it allows for crappy writing and lots of retcon, see crappy writing again.

If we follow the movie: the Kree-Skrull wars happened because the Krees want to subjugate the Skrulls. The Kree make it look like the Skrulls are a threat and accuses them of invading multiple worlds by shapeshifting and taking over. In reality, the Skrulls are desperately trying to survive, and escaping through multiple worlds by copying the locals and hiding among them.

I was 13, but remember my first FF4 origen story (#4), and also when the 4 super Skrulls fought and nearly defeated the FF4. They were not nice victims fleeing for survival, they came as conquering invaders. If I remember correctly the Kree helped the FF4.

Well keep in mind, this movie took place in the 90's. Anything could've happened between this movie and Endgame where something caused The Skrulls to turn bad 🤔

@@SuperOmnicronsj44 yeah probably. Didn't like her at all at first. Not sure if I can say that I like her better now. But at the very least, I think I can grow to not hating on her. That is of course until she makes any unnecessary remarks again. I did enjoy the movie though. I expected it to be just as bad as the trailer. I was surprised.

In the movie, the Skrulls are just beings trying to survive the attack of the Krees. They escape on multiple worlds by using their special abilities to shapeshift, then hide. The Krees made it look like the Skrulls are planning to take over these worlds. It could be possible however, that rogue, extremist Skrulls could plan to invade some worlds in their blind hatred towards the Krees , like what ISIS are doing. Talos is a proven good Skrull but we dont know yet of other Skrull factions.

Believe me, even comics are very confusing. The writers were never very consistent with their theories, the power levels, the timelines etc.

In the movie, Mar Vell is a woman played by Annette Benning who came to earth and disguised himself as just one of the humans. She invented a light speed drive for spaceships and she was helping refugee Skrulls to hide at a spaceship clocked and orbiting earth. She was actually considered criminal by the Krees.

Shes not gonna be the one defeating thanos. In the comics it was Nebula who took the gauntlet and undid everything he did. Also adam warlock, the avengers and thanos end up having to defeat her to. The gauntlets gems is then divided betwen adam warlock thanos and other members of infinity watch and thats how the story ends

They aren't going to bring her in and let her just defeat Thanos. No one will go for that. She's not able to beat him on her own. Thanos is fucking smart, he thinks 20 steps ahead. It'll take a collective to really stop him as always

@@gbrogo7139 That's a fair point. I think we were looking for an extremely serious movie to follow IW and didn't expect to not get that. Personally, I thought the personality of Captain Marvel was annoying sometimes but afterwards I realized she doesn't totally know herself so that would be impossible and that's why we didn't see the full extent of her power to show that it may match Thanos in some way.

Munish Persaud personally, I hated what they did with the Skrulls, and to an extent Nick Fury’s eye, as well as Marr-Vell, but with all of those choices, I still get what they were going for

@@gbrogo7139 I do too, the Skrulls have so much potential as a villain especially with the Black Widow movie coming it would've worked well with her being a spy and not knowing who to trust. Nick Fury's eye was super anticlimactic but what do you expect, it couldn't be super gruesome. Mar-Vell was the worst part. They changed the origin story so much to streamline, it just wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it could've been. Especially when she "got her powers from the Tesseract" it terms of the Universe it made sense but that doesn't mean it was the best move they could've taken.

Munish Persaud it’s a shame, I think Jude Law would’ve made a great Marr-vell, and the MCU could’ve gotten a lot of great stories out of the skrulls as villains, but alas, now we probably won’t get secret invasion, and instead we got another forgettable MCU villain in Yon-Rogg

I thought I was the only one who wants to see this. Only thing holding me back is the injury from Civil War likely would've exposed the Skrull. 😒

Wrong...that's the history from the Comics. The Kree are the bad guys and the Skrull are the good guys in the conflict. The conflict was started by the Kree who were way less advanced and way more barbaric in nature than the Skrulls who were a peaceful merchant civilization who had advanced technology. The Kree betrayed the Skrulls during their first interactions and over time the Skrulls had to become more militaristic to fight off the evil Kree. That's accurate to the comic book history, so the movie get's that right not wrong. When the origins of the conflict are explained in the comics this is how it is explained. People just don't no their comics. They just think they do.

@@stellarhyme3 well, the skrulls weren't innocent quire boys themselves. It's just that by the time they encountered the kree, they had already killed off or enslaved most of their adversaries, so they didn't have much left to do than being space faring explorers, since there was no one left to challenge them that was until the kree came along.

The are the losers on the wars and like many wars should be exterminated for potential building back and revenge plot. You know when war happen chance of 1 forgive other almost 0. So full genocide is the right things to do. There is no guarantee if they are peace treaty there will be no revenge on future.

No that's a war between Banner and Hulk so he can both be out at the same time and transform into Professor Hulk with Banners Brains and the Hulks strength it was done in the comic books. Image a genius Hulk. Didn't you notice ever since Thor Ragnarok that Hulk start talking more and being a little smarter and even making jokes.
