Imagine a mode where you can play characters before their rework

besides a little increase to particle effects, the visual quality is pretty much unchanged to me from the looks of it. I know this is a cartoony game like borderlands so I didn’t expect anything revolutionary but if I’m being real I’m not impressed at all.

I just realised that Winstons new alt fire is similar to Mei's, implying that the two worked together to improve their gear

Honestly, I think the changes to Orisa are incredibly interesting. She's more or less an entirely different character function wise, but I honestly think it's just as interesting and full of utility as the old one, just in different ways.

Have no idea how you make a new game with nothing new from the previous except minor UI visual changes, if this is 6 years in the making I have some pretty low expectations.

I’m saying it now. I much prefer Orisa’s old ultimate to her new one.

I definitely get it more now. It really is more of an update than an actual sequel, so it’s good that it’s free. Kinda on par with the whole GTAV “expanded and enhanced” upgrade

Honestly, I have no idea what to be more afraid of with bastion... The fact he could remain a sentry all he wanted in overwatch 1.... or in overwatch 2 he at least has a cooldown, and can only use for 5 seconds.... but can MOVE while he does o_o

Eventhough there isnt much change just better particle effects and such. I have to say that sometimes i still start up ow1 and im always blown away how smooth everything runs and plays while not being to graphically demanding. Its still ahead compared to other games in that way

How I miss overwatch 1...

so the differences ive noticed: -reinhardt's fire strike and zarya's bubbles can now be used twice at a time -reinhardt's shield health has been nerfed -improved visual effects for some ultimates -orisa now has infinite ammo in favor of a heat system -orisa has gotten an entire ability and ultimate rework in favor of a more offensive playstyle -winston appears to hit multiple targets at once instead of only one and also has gotten a new secondary fire -doomfist's seismic slam can now move upward, probably as a way to mix the uppercut and original seismic slam into one ability -doomfist's uppercut has been replaced into a blocking ability -bastion has less rps in recon form -bastion's reconfigure now mixes the original tank movement and UI with his sentry form's weapon instead of keeping him in one spot (the sentry weapon also has infinite ammo) -bastion's self-repair has been replaced with a grenade -bastion's ultimate is now an airstrike instead of a tank form, which has already been mashed into his reconfiguration ability -cassidy's flashbang has been replaced with a sticky grenade -junkrat's trap can still move bots?? -mei's primary fire freeze effect has been replaced with a slowing effect -brigitte's shield bash stun effect has been removed and also deals more damage

Not sure how I feel about Bastion being able to move around now in sentry mode. Brig getting slightly more nerfed again, no surprise there. And Orisa in OW2 sounds way more angry and ready for a fight than in OW1. Plenty of changes, but not all are bad. Thanks for the video.

6 years to alter some characters add a few maps and a small campaign.. LOL

I haven't played overwatch since 2017 so maybe there are some changes I'm not noticing, but I really don't understand why this has to be a whole separate game at all. So many other developers have had much bigger changes done to their games without doing that

Personally, i prefer the overwatch 1 HUD graphics over overwatch 2

stuff can still change. Remember when bastion had his own shield in beta but never made it to full game release

Orisa's rework is like the devs saw the Dora Milaje from Black Panther and went "Hey, that's cool. Let's put them in our game"

So after researching about this game, I can come up with this conclusion: Overwatch 2 = Overwatch 1 + single player mode DLC

I mean what more can you do with overwatche's style of graphics, models, and particles, its more of a touch up to things than a revolutionary change of stuff, its nice, but you really can't do much with it to have that good old ow style- (Sounds on the other hand, hella dope)

I assume you recorded the OW1 clips before Ow2 came out 😅

Honestly I just cannot get used to the new UI, I'm just too attached to how the icons looked before even if the differences are miniscule.

Orisa's kit made more sense back in overwatch 1 because she's the DEFENDER of Numbani, not the crazy-ass ATTACKER of Numbani

For bastion in turret mode, allow repair but it doesn’t heal for as much, you risk less firepower for heals

I hope there's a good reason lore-wise why Orisa is so aggressive now... omg imagine if efi died that would do it

Overwatch one was perfect just sitting up at night playing the new event and getting loot boxes was so good

Lighting and color contrast seem significantly improved. I know there's hdr support too

I think some of your graphics were down, like the first second I see that you’re missing the Rein charge shatter in the wall effect which I got when playing the game (OW2) but you only had for OW1… so very skeptical of this video now. Or it just auto sets some things based on Graphics cards, I play on a 3070 so I might have an advantage idk I don’t know if you put your specs in the desc and mobile doesn’t let me check without deleting my comment so imma just post this and check now. But yeah some graphics look more simplified for you than they did in my gameplay.

Giving orisa a spear was a great idea from a conceptual angel. It fits her theme so well unifies her theme rather than with a bunch of mishmash kits

There's something I prefer about the way OW1 looks (aside from the obvious UI changes) but I can't quite pinpoint it

So Mei now has Sym's primary fire fused with a turret. At first I thought this was a major nerf, but it might increase her overall dps. Although, I hope her ult can still ACTUALLY freeze people. Overall, it feels like an experimental patchnote change for a third of the roster + pvp. From a design standpoint, I see why it needs to be a standalone title, but I see the competitive croud (non-OWL) sticking with OW1

Whenever I watch old OW1 videos, I don't feel too sad about not having it anymore. But this video hits different with old Rein and Orisa. Damn.

No change to texture , ray tracing and background details. I also saw they have the same poor quality for trees and grass in kings row, really disappointed.

Lore, characters and potential is so good on this game (strenght in Blizzard clearly) but something the lack or repetitive gameplay got them... I LOVE Overwatch so much, the game that made me fall in love with online, in competitive and even made very good Friends on it ! I can't wait to see what's next and Hope for the best ! played the beta and the ones that got the bad end of the stick is Mccree and Mei. No more stun and freeze makes them feel... so bad

Bro it just feels like they nerfed them, the already good moves now changed into new possibly worse ones, and the hud just looks worse.
