Aasim_TCSwagz its included on all imacs. and you usually get a discount on it when buying a new mac. its on par with most wireless mice tbh, and it even has "touch" functions. i would call it pat functions rather than touch :p

I've used the Apple mouse for years until I realized my hand was withering away from cramps and aches.. so I bought a Logitech mouse. That Magic Mouse is the most uncomfortable damn thing ever! Looks great, sure.. but hella unergonomic!

I have a Magic Mouse. It's gathering dust with my other unused devices. It was hellish trying to do anything with it. I've never had a piece of electronics that seemed to be actively trying to inflict physical pain on me before, and never since. This is because I have pretty bad carpal tunnel syndrome as well as connective tissue problems, and the complete disregard for basic ergonomics makes this mouse completely unusable for me. I have since invested in a Steelseries Rival 700, which is the best investment I've ever made with regards to computer peripherals. Sure it costed almost twice as much as what I paid for the monstrousity that is the Magic Mouse, but at least it isn't trying to kill me. Bottom line, don't buy mice from Apple.

Well, I would never buy that piece of garbage but I've had experience using it. And I'll tell you what I hate about it: - The buttons don't feel responsive, and whenever I click I happen to feel something that I never felt with any other mouse, which is, the involuntary fear of my mouse sliding off the table and my automatic reaction of holding it even harder, which is tremendously uncomfortable because there are little to considerations for the ergonomics of the mouse. - The price... People say this mouse is responsive and it is pretty convenient. But how come I managed to find another mouse, from another company, that cost me 20-30€, that was wireless, and yet felt better, more responsive and I could still do anything people can do with the magic mouse. Except scrolling to the right but in what planet does that compensate the 70-80€? There.

Some people say that the Magic Mouse is a mouse with only one click, and they’re wrong. It’s an overpriced mouse that you can’t use while charging.

Why and when would you need to use it while charging? You charge it overnight while you sleep just once a MONTH, is that so terrible? It's not overpriced, either. It is pricey for a mouse but seeing as it has the Apple logo *cough* seeing as it has the improved functionality like the touch panel, the price can be justified.

Actually, there are two buttons. You have to enable right click in the settings. The reason it isn't already enabled is because you can press Control + Click to right click.

ignasviplol1 I’ve used the “magic mouse”, and it wasn’t that bad for a giant button and laser. The bad thing about it is the price of 100 dollars. A hundred fucking dollars for a button and laser is absolutely ridiculous, and you know that it is. Again, the mouse isn’t that bad if working with Mac, but it’s a total ripoff because of its jackass price

Nope you cant, because thinking about it we almost always rest 2 fingers on the mouse, so apple decided that if you rest 2 fingers on while clicking, that's the default click. The click also comes from a single switch. So it cannot mechanically distinguish whether the click comes left or right, and solely has to rely on the touch surface to do that.

Anyway, the reason I prefer the sleek, smooth Magic Mouse 2 over cheap, black bulky mice like the G999 or whatever there naming scheme is for those. The plastic black one has two too many buttons than you need. Please tell me what’s wrong with your Magic Mouse and tell me why you prefer thick bulky mice over it. I can help with it, I’ve learned it.

High-quality gaming mouses are about functionality, ergonomics, form, and yes, can look stylish! No comparison! Looking at you holding the Magic Mouse gave MY hand cramps and aches... Another huge issue i dont think he pointed out in the video, you CANNOT RIGHT AND LEFT CLICK AT THE SAME TIME!!! So because the of the unified one button thing, you can’t aim and shoot with apple magic mouse which absolutely sucks and is a big disadvantage for gaming with it.

G403 is designed for gaming while the Magic Mouse is designed for productivity, so it's kind of an awkward comparison. The MX Master is designed for productivity, so that and the Magic Mouse can be compared directly.

I was using Magic Mouse for ages mostly for my graphic design things and I do really love it. I love it mostly because it can scroll in any direction by a finger. And I do really love its design - very slick, no additional buttons that I never use. BUT. At some point, I found that many many many people online wasn't happy with that as I was. And many people said they really love the MX Master mouse, which is looking so awkward to me with all these shapes and buttons. After I installed Windows on my Mac for gaming I decide to give a try and replace the Magic Mouse with something from Logitech. I choose G102, it's similar to the G403, but wired. And what I can say… I damn love it! The main reasons are 1. It fit my hand well, indeed better than the Magic Mouse. 2. It has separated buttons, that's necessary for gaming. 3. It has the ability to change DPI that I'm using something. So overall I'm very happy! Maybe in the future, I'll take G403, but I like low weight mice without batteries inside.

I personally use the Logitech G602. It is a wonderful mouse. My hand, even after all day of use doesn't cramp up due to the great design. This monster also has upwards of 1400 hours of battery per charge, and a great sensor. I recommend this to anyone who can't afford a 100 dollar mouse. At the time of writing this comment the G602 is 44 dollars on amazon. Pick it up!

With the trackpad 3 finger swipe up is very responsive you know. Mission control transition happens as you swipe up. If you pause the swipe midway the mission control pauses at the same position. Same for three finger left/right desktop movement. Is it the same with the magic mouse when you do mission control or swipe desktop gestures? Or is it like similar to keyboard shortcuts for mission control and desktop swipe gestures that do not have any control midway?

I have been using a Magic Mouse 2 for about a month and at times I do miss the whole hand ergonomics of a larger, rounder mouse. However, I've found its gesture surface enormously pleasant to use. It's just plain fun to be able to fingertip-scroll vertical and laterally with pixel precision, then bounce down a document with the kinetic-scrolling responsiveness of the usual Mac laptop trackpad behaviour. Bizarrely, the gesture system covers covers 3/4s of upper surface, down to a line through the top of the Apple logo. I suspect its flatter upper surface makes "trackpadding" with it easier than I think a taller arc would have - I don't think the low flat shape is purely a design aesthetic. I understand why many would prefer the hand feel of a more supportive shaped scroll-wheel ergo mouse, but for me the Magic Mouse is something of a "fusion" device - it works "acceptably" for conventional pointing, and very well for scrolling. If you do lots of both, it may be worth considering.

The Magic Mouse polls at a lowly 90Hz, compared to a standard 125Hz office mouse or 1000Hz on this gaming mouse. It's not a surprise it tracks worse on screen.

The value of the Magic Mouse is all about the scrolling (in productivity, not for games of course). For me in productivity such as code editors but espescially design apps it's brilliant. You can scroll side ways very easily (common espescially in design apps) and for that it's just extremely productive in use. As for the shape, it works pretty well for me (been using it over half a decade without problems) but it's probably not for everyone. The *reason* it's shaped like it is is to fasciliate said excellent scrolling and touch gestures. Microsoft did a touch centric mouse that had a more typical shape, but when I tried that the scrolling/gestures where unreliable. I don't know if that was due to the shape or not though. Maybe a more typically shaped would but also with excellent touch scrolling is possible? Who knows. I never game with it tho (got a Logitech for that).

I have that mouse but the wired version, how did you get the permission from security and privacy in Mac OS because mine won't let met. I checked later with a guy that works in Logitech and he said that the g403 is not compatible with mac os. How do you make it work?

The Logitech G602 is actually a PHENOMENAL wireless mouse for any use. It's battery life is outstanding, and contains a gaming grade sensor. With the G403 out, the price of the G602 is dropping and it's an absolute steal. Battery will lasts MONTHS on the eco-mode (250Hz polling rate vs. 1000Hz) and the difference is not noticeable doing anything other than gaming. And If you're on a Mac, gaming is already out of the question. Check out the G602 is you're looking for an accurate and ergonomic wireless mouse on the cheap!

at school we have a music studio which i spend alot of time in as a guitarist, we have a 2018 imac and it cost the school £5000 and it is rubbish, it is not a quater of my razer blade in terms of recording music or general loading time, it has a magic mouse and believe it or not, I don't have any problems with the ergonomics but the way i claw grip i hardly even touch the mouse and also my hands are on the guitar more.
