Is it just me or was the GPU sitting on the PCIe slot kinda crooked

Gpu destroying PCIe, single fan liquid cooler, NO INTAKE FANS, this pc is a crime

Maybe that heavy GPU was just sitting there, damaging the PCI-E slot without a support bracket.

They could’ve also just needed to update the bios

I wonder if resetting the CMOS would have done the trick

I legit had this issue today after messing around with my bios too much, just pressed the reset CMOS switch and it worked fine.

Love it, sold a new MB to a customer when really what most likely happened is the customer tried to install a new CPU and didn't want to admit they couldn't get it to work.... Just needed a BIOS update.

Oh yeah, just change motherboard and fix the problem, don't check if it's just a motherboard-cpu compatibility issue where you just need to update the BIOS, no, of course no, I love these kind of videos /s

Mayne the bios is set to onboard graphics i would check that before throwing in a new board

You should’ve tried switching it to an x8 slot to rule out the original slot being the issue.

Fun fact, it was actually the bios needing an update to support the CPU.

Try resetting the bios before you replace the entire motherboard.

You forgot to check the BIOS for the display out settings, many prebuily machines or random switches after updates or upgrades can set the BIOS to set the igpu as the output. Quickest way to check. Move the display cable from the egpu to the igpu port on the motherboard.

I've had this problem,and it was not the motherboard. It was the CMOS battery. Try replacing that and you could possibly save money.

Cyberpower PCs do be like that. Bought one about 2-3 years ago and the HHD wasn't connected and the damn gpu wasn't hooked up properly. Don't think I would have kept it without having bought a warranty at best buy.

had this issue, I ended up reseating the ram sticks, cpu, and changed the cmos battery. ended up working for me.

Bro didn't even put an anti sag bracket no wonder the pcie slot broke. The GPU is literally hanging on the motherboard

Just needed to establish the correct DRAM timing. Likely the customer was using Corsair DRAM on a ASUS x570.

god i love my left handed case where the back of the board is aimed up into a small covered compartment gpu hangs from the bracket

Imagine all of this only for the issue to be from the BIOS display out on iGPU rather than PCIe 😂

My son's PC just did this and after about a day of him turning it on and off he finally got a screen randomly and I stopped him ran full system diagnostics and updates and found somehow his video card drivers reverted to 2017 drivers. Updated it and haven't had an issue since.

Sometimes a simple reset of the bios or clear CMOS solves this issue. You don't need to be swapping the mb just because.

if you removed the battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes at least then put it back in with the gpu connected and the cables in, it would’ve worked

Had a similar issue. My computer turned on just fine except for the mouse and keyboard, I also had a “ no signal” display. I took my RAM out, clean them, and problem solved.

Sometimes a broken crystal Oscillator causes this, without soldering skills you need a new board

Jes it was the freaking motherboard that poor PCie slot!

For things like crappy pcie slots you get a 90° rotated case, no more saggy gpu

Try another processor if it works then update the bios of the motherboard for cpu support..give a try so wont buy and buy every simple issue

This happened to me, and it was most likely the motherboard since i bought it refurbished, lasted like 2 and a half years, but will never cheap out again on parts

Could be the motherboard needs force updated. Mine had the same issue but it wasn’t broken just needed the drivers updated to match the gpu drivers

I would reseed the CPU first just to make sure that it wasn't a bad mount befor replacing the motherboard. But overall looks like you know your stuff

I’m having this issue and with my pc and it also won’t turn on the kb&m. To those saying “should have checked the bios first” if I’m not mistaken I do believe that if the motherboard is bad it won’t even launch the bios.. (at least won’t for my pc)

In this case it was, as it seems, the motherboard. But there are other parts that may cause a "no display signal". FOR EXAMPLE: 1 - Reset your bios and/or take cmos battery. 2 - Try to run igpu option first, if it has one, and to see if there a signal. It rules out picky graphics cards in terms off not liking some hdmi cables or hdmi-to-dvi combos. Even if cables may work a first it degrades with time and causes this problem. 3 - If/when you have acess the bios try ruling out any settings that may cause no display signal. For example some UEFI settings do mess with graphics. "Google" what some settings do to better understand them. 4 - It could have been a bad PSU. If it can´t provide the proper wattage, the gpu may still turn on, lights and fans, but it won´t display image. A bad capacitor or sometimes just a bad cable that supplies power to the graphics. Which sometimes can be changed in a modular PSU or just by using a different slot. 5 - Bad ram may be the culprit but some times it does allow for windows to start up, before graphics related problems occur. 6 - If graphics card works on another pc you may also try a vbios upgrade or reset. Sometimes it is not the motherboard fault but the graphics vbios that doesn´t make proper handshake or id signal. I have seen a case in which the graphics card worked but after a motherboard bios update it couldn´t, even if you reverted to a previous bios. 7 - If you have second PCIe slot, try it. has it may rule out the first one been bad. Some boards have two slots capable of running, even if not at full power, a second graphics card, making ideal for testing. 8 - Sometimes, and i mean sometimes, just reseating every part first of all does the trick. PS: Always try a least two or three different cables or hdmi-to-dvi combos that go out to your display depending on the case.It is far easier and cheaper than all i have said before, and might save you the trip for tecnical help or parts.

Hey what if it was just a bio that needed updating? That's not uncommon with some amd platfroms

I was so bummed out that my rog formula had the same issue. Was able to boot with 1 ram in the b slot. None of the first 2 dimm slots was working. Got an rmy and they gave me a z790 maximus hero. Bummed out cuz that mobo was so beautiful

Reflash the bios, its possible it corrupted, plus it saves ppl money instead of needing customer service like this

Yeah usually if it's not the GPU then it's either the CPU or the motherboard. If issue was with ram, it would still try to post and at list make beeping sounds

First jobs before the GPU. Check all PSU - Motherboard and GPU connections are fully home, pull the BIOS battery and check the voltage. This does 2 things. Confirm whether the £2 BIOS battery is good or bad and resets the CMOS. 9 times out of 10 this will fix the issue. Then and only then do you go down the rabbit hole. Also if there are debug lights on the motherboard, use them. If it's stuck on DRAM, it's not a GPU problem, so check the RAM. If not the RAM, then you likely have a CPU/Motherboard mismatch issue. Go find an older CPU, drop it in and update the BIOS. You can then drop the customer's CPU back in and again you'll probably find it works. Diagnose the problem instead of just replacing parts and creating e-waste.

I hope this video is edited and you did actually use a beep speaker to read any beep error codes, and you also did a bios reset or even bios reprogram.Before ultimately writing off the motherboard

Hello, y problem was solved by buying new piece. Y haven't tried to switch PCI slot may work. Discovered also that if y do not have display until windows load problem can be fix by switching monitor adaptivesync. It took me 5 month to realize problem.

This part swapping method doesn't work for the poor PC owners. I tried adding buzzer speakers similar to the old motherboards. I just judge the problem basedbon the beep codes it makes

I’m having this same problem, I’ve tried new mobo, gpu, psu, cables, ram, ssd, monitor. Nothing is working. And all of these parts are brand new.

Have you tried resetting bios or connecting to the board display? They could have set display to cpu in bios

I'm having the exact same issue but the motherboard is fine, I was told to do a quick restart and nothing has happened and I also plugged in the cord into the motherboard and nothing happened

It could be an badly seated cpu, because when you swapped the motherboard, you could’ve seated it properly

it could just be a bad overclock.. next time before you change parts try clearing CMOS or maybe BIOS flashback

That gpu is giving me severe anxiety

After recent experience. Ive learned to also try the 2nd pice slot if you have one to check if the 16x slot is broken, or if its cpu/mobo. Cant rule out psu sometimes either, but more rare.

I legit had this same problem after my pc crashed on me the other day and I pressed the reset button instead of the power button I fount taking out my gpu and removing the CMOS battery for 1 min it fixed it self and id running smooth to this day but overkill to try another motherboard lol
