I guessed it from the beginning back in 2015 because...well Big Boss never had a chunk of steel in his head at the end of MGS 4.

I was sadly spoiled for this reveal, that was all I knew about the game. I had played all the other games in the series blind so all the plot twists were surprising to me like liquid impersonating Miller, Plisken being Snake and so on, except KZfaq kept spoiling me saying big boss was not big boss and so on, all I knew was that venom snake was not big boss, but I didn’t know big boss was Ishmael, so I got part of the plot twist at least

I don’t call these obvious, more like subtle clues. I think they’re more clever clues than anything else I’m thinking MGSV must be considered one of the best games of all time. Only reason for me saying this is simple. The game is 8 years old and we are still analyzing and studying it like if it were a classic novel. Personally I think that’s a tell of great story telling

Recently bought a PS4, and my first order of business was another 100% playthrough of Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain. Just finished 100% this past Thursday, so I appreciate that even 7+ years after it first came out, you're still finding new ways to cover this game. Gonna be weird when the servers eventually go offline if they never get around to revealing the final truth surrounding the nonsense of those Phantom Nukes.

Best game of all time from a gameplay perspective. 9 years after release no game even comes close in gameplay mechanics.

My theory why Huey is so confused, but not Kaz, is that Kaz has horrible eyesight, nearly blind by the time of MGSV. He couldn't notice the little differences in their faces. Huey, with glasses and better eyesight is confused at the little differences, remember, Huey is basically a mad scientist, he is smart enough to notice little things.

I'm such a sucker and a fanboy for Metal Gear solid 3 that it hurts me when I admit that I think overall my favorite in the series is actually Metal Gear solid 5 But it's because despite all of the issues with the actual narrative structure of the game, they're just isn't another game in the franchise that I enjoyed actually playing as much as I enjoyed this one, so many people said that the side activities were too boring and repetitive but I was always eager to jump in and do all of them over and over again because of the amount of ways you can replay the game. I guess kind of like with Hitman as well since I don't really pay attention to the scoring system and I would rather just find different ways to just meet the mission / complete the objective these games open themselves up to me as some of the most highly replayable games I've ever experienced. So in just one playthrough of MGS5 I easily dumped over a hundred hours into it, never mind my subsequent playthroughs But getting onto the narrative topic of this video, I had that twist ending spoiled for me when I was like halfway through the game so all of a sudden all of these hits kind of started to become obvious to me until I finally got the damn cutscene that revealed it. I still hate it. Anytime I'm ever playing this game in my head Canon this is indeed still big boss. But there are so many subtle hints that are there, all I can think is if they were given more time to actually flush this entire story out perhaps it could have been something more captivating than it actually ended up being It feels like such a waste of Kiefer Sutherland as well, he barely speaks but yet if you start listening to the voice tapes he actually has a lot of dialogue and sounds really good, he just doesn't say a damn thing in the cutscenes lol Overall the twist just seems like an unnecessary way to try and retcon some kind of reason why you would fight big boss twice in the old MSX games that most people probably never play it anyway. Games were a lot simpler back then I didn't really ever question why we needed a reason that you would repeat a boss fight against the same villain at the end of two different games, I never questioned why we killed shao Kahn twice in Mortal Kombat, so I certainly didn't care that we killed Big Boss twice in early Metal Gear games But here we are and now we know that we killed Big bosses stunt double basically and then we finally killed him, except we didn't but I'm not going to get into Metal Gear solid 4 lol

If you try to interrogate a soldier before extracting an interpreter Ocelot will state that Venom Snake can‘t remember any other language because of the splinter in the right part of his skull. But that can’t be true since the language region is located in the left part of the brain. Ocelot is clearly lying.

Just finished this game after years of having it sit on the shelf. Unfortunately, the twist was spoiled for me but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Fantastic game. Classic. Masterpiece.

I don't remember if there was a build up to this but I don't see why would they give Venom a reason to believe he's related to liquid other than trying to mess up with the players' mind. They already know the tests would be negative.

There's still so much people can learn about V and Kojima... The game is open to interpretations, meaning it has many layers, thing is some of them are way deeper than the others... Are you sure Venom is really Medic?
