Ever since I saw the movie Gamma 1 always reminded me of Shadow the hedgehog and Gamma 2 reminded me of Sonic

Piccolo mentions in the movie that they're as strong as Goku and Vegeta, but I doubt they match up to Ui Goku. They're probably as strong as ssj blue. (Spoiler) It's also implied in the movie that they weren't going all out while they were fighting because they realized that Gohan and Piccolo weren't evil.

Akira just posted a new updated animation of Perfect Cell....so maybe Cell will be absorbing those two instead of A1+2 like he originally did and in turn gets their super power boost to match the rest of the group

The gamma series androids are dressed like the Black Ghost 00 series of Cyborgs in Cyborg 009 purely by virtue of this fact I consider the gamma series Cyborg type androids. Clearly Hedo did not have any desire to conceal anything and would not spend any additional time, budget, material, nor effort to camouflage their nature like 16 was and Hedo probably instead spend those resources making them more effective in battle compared to what 16 was. My totally speculation not at all substantiated by lore opinion is that in contrast to conventional cyborgs their composition is robotic heavy and biology is the supplemental role.
