Күн бұрын"Summertime Girls" is a single by American rock band Y&T. It was released as the first single from their seventh studio album Open Fire. It later reappeared on their eighth studio album Down for the Count. The song became the band's biggest hit, as well as their first and only single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 55.
The song makes an appearance in the 1985 sci-fi comedy film Real Genius and was featured in the first episode of the HBO Max series Peacemaker.

Saw them in 2014 at the cannery in Nashville. They were great! My ears rang for days. Dave kind of apologized for Summertime Girls admitting it was pop. But also underscoring how big it had been for them. For me Mean Streak was their peak record. 🤘😎

My brother and I spent a lot of time out at the lake during the summer in Vegas. We grew up and lived there for 36 years, and every summer he would bust out Summertime Girls!! 80's for life😎✌️

Peacemaker had such an amazing soundtrack!! James Gunn has impeccable taste in music. The Michael Starr cover of Pumped up kicks is one of the best covers I have ever heard.

Millennials and Gen Z just do not understand that the Boomers fed this stuff to us in the Forgotten Generation for our entire childhoods and teenage years. (Forgotten Generation because everyone's too busy writing about Boomers, Millennials and Zillennials to remember those of us in Gen X.)
