I love this review, it's like you spoke the words I was thinking when listening to the album, my listening experience was very similar. The only track on which we have different opinions is the one with Ne-Yo, I first heard it on an interview with Preemo on Sway, the way he talked about it and reacted to the track was great, I could feel what he was talking about, GURU is being very playful with his rhymes and his Spanish, the sounds and the beat kind of remind me of a playful feeling, especialy how the chorus sequence goes into that verse sequence, something beautiful about that, I guess it reminds me of love and good times with friends you know, it's all love...anyways, great review Sir. Love this album. You bring up some good points that I didn’t realize about it (like the “I don’t know spanish lines” are pretty annoying - def not lyrical greatness there) But over all, great album.

Honestly a really solid review, Anthony. The way you articulated your points was pretty nicely done! Though I will say that the part in the video where you just screamed "MUDA" over and over again at the top of your lungs was just weird to watch.

I think this is really good for a Post-death project. Sounds as if they made it together. So many of these types of records come off as really trashy cash ins. The context is a BIT weird because you know these verses were recorded at a time when Guru and Premier were not fucking with eachother but the outcome feels just as much Gangstarr as The Owners did. Other than J.Cole and Neyo the guests are ALL people who would have likely worked with Gangstarr and it all fits well.
