Gangadhar Meher University is one of the leading university in Odisha and came into existence on the 30th May 2015 as a unitary institution of higher learning.started in the year 1944 as Sambalpur College, it was later renamed in 1949 as Gangadhar Meher College after Gangadhar Meher, a renowned Odia poet and a worthy son of the soil.
it offers degree,Post graduation, M.phil and PhD courses apart from it GMU also offers Self financing Courses like BBA,MBA,MBA(FM),MCA, Bsc IST, Computer Science, MSc ETC,Integrated B.ed in Arts and Science.

Till now Bsc B.ed admission based on 10th + 12th % ...and for getting a B.ed science seat 10th +12th % should be more than 175

It's govt.hostel for +2 Boys Admission fee 13500/- per year Mess charges @35/meal at present

Cut off % is not same every year... But 1st round cut off is above 80% for SC.... So better chances if SC catagory students having above 78% in 10th
