Drill is exploding all over the UK but until recently, nobody knew about the burgeoning scene over in Ireland. The so-called Godfather of the scene, INK is based in Dublin and proudly spits in his native accent but more and more, the young MCs coming through are affecting a London accent. Chuckie goes to meet the key players, to see the potential and investigate whether or not there is an identity issue at play.

Hopefully these lots find the right kind of way to spit in their Irish accent cos it's deep that these lots especially black Irish people are using a foreign accent to find success in the industry. Whether black Irish, white Irish or Asian Irish be proud of your accent cos please believe if u lots keep just adopting a London accent then youse are never gonna give the Irish drill scene along with the accent the confidence and the support to pop off and actually become mainstream. Real Talk if you lots want the Irish drill scene to pop off then rap in your Irish accent cos it'll encourage other younger Irish boys to go out there and make a name for their island and their city and rap scene. Love my bruddas across the Irish sea, you lots just got a new fan from Weladstone (Stone City, SCG), Harrow borough, N.W London. Use Ur Irish accent cos theirs younger out there that will look up to you and copy you and finally get you lots's driller scene off the ground .
