Its 2 sides to every story and everybody get a different perspective at different times and the stories get conflicted overtime because some of these brothers who started these organizations cant remember what all happened back then so to me you have to look at the most updated version of whats going on but as far as trying to dig up the past somebody is going to leave something out but as far as i can remember is that in the early 80s the folks was together in the roseland area on the southside of chicago now from what ive seen and experience was BDs and GDs started breaking apart from each other although it was like a BGD thing but at the same time they were kinda seperate every now and then fights would break out between the 2 but it would all settle back down and the GDs were no match for the BDs in my area i allways saw the GDs running from them but the GDs got tired of losing the fist fights so they started bringing Guns into the mix and started shooting the BDs and killing them im talking real known BDs that had rank so the wars started and BDs use to talk about not wanting to do no harm to the GDs because they was all the same but GDs kept killing the BDs even they own blood relatives and when the time snoop dog hit the scene with all his gangsta music so the GDs started to out number the BDs and they wanted to make chicago a gangsta city i saw alot of BDs gravitate towards the GDs at that time for that reason but it became a power struggle the GDs was trying to take over every BD block and the BDs wasnt going for that this is why GDs especially the younger generation had so much beef between each other the BDs had many meetings with GDs board members and all to stop killing the BD brothers who didnt want to become GD and in those days to become a Black Disciple was to rep the culture for us as Black folks more so a Gangsta Disciple so the Better Developement was never trying to destroy the Growth and Developement because they are all as 1!!!
