@SixofQueens3 жыл бұрын
@@MrSmitheroons Um, actually, both are correct. Yes, there is only one male born every hundred years, but most of the race are conceived between a Gerudo female and males they acquire using...other means..., though I'm sure when the one male is present, probably sires a LOT of offspring, though that last part is conjecture (as far as I know).
@MrSmitheroons3 жыл бұрын
I think they do say it's a male Gerudo born every 100 years who becomes the king. zelda.gamepedia.com/Gerudo zelda.fandom.com/wiki/Gerudo (Then again... not everything in Legend of Zelda lore is super consistent from game to game... so maybe in some games the lore is described differently?) I have never heard of Gerudos having babies with non-Gerudos. I know they have romances with other races in Breath of the Wild though. Hmmmmm. It does beg the question where all the young Gerudos come from??? Hard for me to say they don't have babies with other races in that case??? But it's not explicitly said... I don't think. Maybe it's like eggs in Pokemon. "Nobody knows where Pokemon eggs come from or how it happens" even though it seems pretty obvious that two Pokemon need to be left alone together to make it happen... Pretty unlikely a random non-Gerudo trained Ganondorf in the ways of magic. But who's to say? Maybe his dad was a powerful mage? I think the male Gerudo every 100 years is just naturally very powerful, but admittedly that doesn't make much sense.
@SixofQueens3 жыл бұрын
@@MrSmitheroons Yes, it is true that male becomes king, which I'm sure comes with...privileges...though inbetween its not like Gerudo are spawning out of the ground or reproducing asexually, at least not as far as I've ever heard. Ganondorf was trained in magic by the witches Koume and Kotake from (primarily) OoT, and was so powerful since he was a vessel for Demise, so he didn't require having a powerful father.

Um Actually....there is historical precedent for dictators having their favorite pets be in positions of power Alexander the Great's deification of Bucephalus and Caligula's appointment of his horse to Consul.
@SocialistNihilist3 жыл бұрын
Um, actually... You need to do some more research, there were claims of Caligula -intending- to appoint Incitatus (the horse) Consul, but he never actually went through with it by any historical account. That said, he DID give Incitatus his own house and servants, mockingly make toasts to Incitatus to be a dick to his guests, and tell clergymen that they would soon be replaced by the horse. It's pretty commonly accepted that all of these things were comments made in jest/to provoke people. It's also pretty commonly accepted that the go-to method for ruining the public opinion of a disgraced leader was to claim he was an insane sexual degenerate in text. And Alexander the Great never deified Bucephalus, he just simply emulated Achilles' reverence for horses in general.

I’m Actually, there were more Lions in the Bible than in Narnia because Noah has Two of every animal on his boat which implies Two Lions.
@jonathansands33043 жыл бұрын
Um, Actually: While I don’t recall if lions are specifically mentioned in Magician’s Nephew, Asian’s song creates numerous animals, and He picks two of each species to awaken into Talking Beasts. In TL,TW,aTW a talking lion is held as a stone prisoner in Jadis’s courtyard (initially mistaken for Aslan by Edmund, and later restored by Aslan.) So, assuming that the lines of Talking Beasts all originated with the Song in the dawn of Narnia, Aslan had to have chosen two (of likely more) lions to awaken.

To go further, Noah wasnt the only human in the bible meeting a lion. Pretty sure there were more. Like the one being forced to fight of against multiple in a fighting pit to proof the strenght of god. (Not sure, not a believer)

So Gerudo find mates outside and get married, have children ect before returning with their daughters to Gerudo village so in theory Ganondorf does have a dad somewhere. Which means the Zelda series is missing the perfect opportunity to have us actually meet Ganondorf's father who is horrified by what his son has become and helps us defeat him or else is just as evil as his son. Either way could be interesting
