Who is truly benefiting from these trips? Whose lives are being transformed? Charlotte-Lily is a 16 year old student in year 12 studying Geography, Drama, French and Spanish. This topic touch my soul❤❤ I'm from Namibia and I witness exactly what she's talking every day of my life..both in the capital Windhoek and rural settlement. I will volunteer my skills to help myself and the community this year🙏🙏🙏

The age-old argument, isn’t it… Helping people in a poor country to make yourself feel better, despite largely being a group of unskilled teenagers that have no business doing any of that stuff. But, congratulations… you’re a very skilled public speaker.

It is quite ironic, that she is using her volunteering to now give a prestigious Ted talk. The Ted talk will look good on her CV.

This the second video I seen like this that said… they ate separately from the kids , and they ain’t Great food…. While the children they’re there to help are eating the food they already had 😳… like how is that even acceptable
