The Trevejo volcano erupted on 5th May 1706 and totally destroyed the whole town. Since then it was slowly rebuilt and is even more beautiful and charming. The natural pools are closed for repair due to some freak waves from the sea a couple of weeks ago. But that did not stop me from having a great time, diving and swimming at the bay. Walked around the town and explored.
To go to Garachico, you can just hop on the bus 363 fro Puerto De La Cruz bus terminal.
