worked perfectly! My Craftsman doesn't have a purple button, but there is a small schematic on the panel that points to a round button "Learn" and a small arrow pointing to the Learn LED.

Thanks for video! Awesome! It helped and worked! My wife recently had her garage door remote stolen from her vehicle. Luckily, I still have my remote. Erasing the codes was easy! I tried buying a couple universal remotes.... but only to find out the hard way that my existing garage door opener was ancient (previous owner) and has no "learn" button. Watched this video a couple times....tried it myself with my remote....and GOT IT!! Garage door opener works again!! Thank you again for this video.... I was getting very frustrated trying to figure it out!

Do all garage door opener manufacturers tend to have the same or at least similar garage door opener code reset processes? The video also doesn't state clearly if you have an external keypad in front of the garage door outside, if that keypad will have to be reset separately from the actual door opener machine or if they are linked in the same reset process? I have a sears craftsman old garage opener with SR code yellow button on the back. Pressing the button for 6-10 seconds is supposed to reset and erase all the programmed codes and any remote codes. However, I am unable to reset the codes and the led besides the button never goes off when I keep the SR code button pressed for 30 seconds or 1 min. Sears tells me that the logic board has to be replaced and is not something available since it is an old system. Is there an alternate way to reset the codes on the logic board? Please guide
