Nothing wrong in like to listening to tape hiss..😂 I like to hear people change pages in the orchestra during a concert, it gives me a immersive experience.

Lewin, AKG's are great headphones. I bought my first pair of K240's back in 1990 and if I remember correctly, they cost about 100 bucks. Had to replace them last year and to my surprise the new set cost only 69 bucks! They are semi open, and the K275 are closed back. Great review, love your channel!!

yeah i got k141 cos I saw them in a music video. ATB - Your Not Alone. Quality of the song on yt is shocking. Anyway thought I blew a driver but turned out to be a tube in the amp. But I'll upgrade em anyway. Probs gonna be these but def gotta be AKG!

You would understand tho with music production how can any of us learn to play when the samples are there. I would love to learn how to do some cool chord stabs but it's hard and the samples are just there calling out to me like 100 million chord stabs ready to go. Just drop em in. Those old school guys would play out everything. Now no one can play anything.

I use some AKG K72s and absolutely love them. I also have some Avantone Mixphones which are excellent but I find them too heavy to wear for extended periods. Certainly love the AKGs though, they're light, well built and sound awesome.
@sordel58665 жыл бұрын
Lewin's on record liking the Mixphones as well. How do you feel, other than weight, that they compare for mixing & general listening?
@GlenClarkMusic5 жыл бұрын
@@sordel5866 Definitely great for mixing, there's no doubt about it. I don't tend to use them for general listening (possibly due to the weight factor). I think Lewin's review of the Mixphones is right on the money. They're definitely great headphones with a flat response, excellent clarity and they're super well made. The quality in my opinion is exceptional.

Good review! I agree with most of what you're saying. I use these great headphones while recording vocals or acoustic instruments. They're really good. I don't use headphones for mixing though. I use near fields. I might use the phones if it's really late but I never like mixes with phones. YMMV.

I recently bought a pair of these and the only thing I really have to complain about is the bass... Its there, but the sub bass is barely audible while listening to music... May be its my ears... Idk 🤷🏻
@GaragebandandBeyond3 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean, but here's my 2¢ on that. They're designed mostly for the recording studio application where you will be using these headphones for hours and hours in a row. If there were to be tons of sub frequencies, the artists ears will fatigue more quickly. Keep in mind that a lot of headphone makers, who build for the recording studio especially, have made sure that their products don't cause permanent ear damage!! I'm pretty sure that BEATS has been in a few lawsuits about hearing damage... I could be wrong, but I remember hearing something like that. Anyway..... that's what I think. LOL Thanks for watching!

@@GaragebandandBeyond cool... Thanks for clarifying that... May be it wasn't right for me coz I don't intend to use these for mixing or recording purposes... But I must say that I love its mids and highs!

As a charts music listener and non audiophile person the HyperX Cloud II wiil be a better choice for you (comment reader). Tried the K275 and they have near to zero bass.
@GaragebandandBeyond3 жыл бұрын
I completely disagree with this! I think there is tons of low end. It sounds like you might have a bad set.
@MotoMario13 жыл бұрын
@@GaragebandandBeyond Have you tested the Cloud II directly against the K275?
@GaragebandandBeyond3 жыл бұрын
@@MotoMario1 Yes, the HyperX Cloud II are gaming headphones and they have tons of extended low end. But to say that the AKG's have "none" is incorrect, I listen to mine all the time and they have great low end. It depends on your needs I suppose. The HyperX Cloud II are good for gamers, the AKG's good for musicians in a studio.
@MotoMario13 жыл бұрын
@@GaragebandandBeyond Yes, I think that's a good explanation. But I'm not gaming with them, got some Edifier monitors for that. And you were right about my K275, they arrived yesterday and the right side makes clapping noises like there is something loose inside. Maybe because of that some low end punsh is missing. I ordered the Teufel Real Blue today. Maybe they suit me better :)
@no2thenwo737 Жыл бұрын
These are bass orientated headphones and the mid to upper mids are missing the sparkle. The K175's are the same. The AKG 271's are the best all rounder AKG headphones, imho. They have the bass, mids and highs covered nicely and you're not left wanting.
