I agree with you my dear. Now a days it has become more about the person singing that the one who shed his blood for us. We tend to follow men who are pursuing their own fame, instead panting after the life in Christ and his abiding presence. The hymns are the songs that deeply minister to my Spirit man🙏🏾🙏🏾

Amen. There is just something so pure about and with hymns. I may be wrong but I find some songs lately, the devil has corrupted.very write songs let along sing from a sole purpose of strengthening and growing the Spirit man or hear from the spirit of God. Jesus said, they that worship God must worship in spirit and in truth because God is Spirit.
