James Parker Sculpture

Күн бұрын

Installing my favourite sculpture 'DNA of a DANCER' in a beautiful garden in England. This garden art is inspired by dance and the graceful movements of a dancer dancing.
Follow me on a road trip, as I travel from my studio in Scotland almost 500 miles to install this, my art, in a clients garden.
I'm a completely self taught artist and have just started sharing my work videos on KZfaq. I hope you enjoy what I do.
The sculpture is later secured so that it is safe when moved and installed.
I ship my work worldwide.

James? A bit of a daft question .... if the battery died?, ummm ... how did you charge it if there was "no charging point in the tent" 🤔🤨?!

@@kthemi10 😂 I've got an inverter in my van but I didn't have time to sit and wait in it charging. It went flat while filming a timelapse as I started mixing concrete. I had to work fast...

DNA of a Dancer is the perfect name for this- exactly the first two things that came to mind when I saw it- dna and dancing. Beautiful installation as well. Yes, it does look like the grass, trees, and the rest of the scenery grew up around it. It feels very timeless as well.

Now I know that neither Graeme nor you sleep at all. This is a fantastic piece and a great installation watch. It's beautiful absolutely beautiful. Love that excavator!! from Canada... Oh my! That sculpture is wonderful!! So much movement in the stones! Kind of makes me smile yet gets me choked up at the same time. Thank you James. My grandchildren are about your children's age and live in England. With the Covid Crisis, it's hard to imagine when I will see my sons and their families again. It's a new way of being, and a new way of working as you demonstrated.

How lovely! Your sculpture, with its movement...dancing is so appropriate for it... soon it will look like it grew there naturally. Sorry you had to sleep in a tent, but what an adventure story you will have to tell your kids when they get older! And certainly props to Mrs. Parker for organizing your "hired help" for the day!

We didn’t get to see the interesting part. How did you get the sculpture on the stone? Did it have to be built there? Or somehow it’s all glued together each piece of slate and can be lifted as a whole
