The first part in my two part video of how to build a garden pond for goldfish. All these pond products are easily accessible and so simple to DIY at home.
I've kept this as simple and user friendly as possible, from choosing the location, preparing the ground, setting the pond liner, pond filtration, pond pumps and more.
Watch out for part 2 in the next few days once the fish and planting is all finished.

I started as a gardener. KZfaq then told me to watch you and MD. Fast forward six months, I have nine fish tanks, 3 small bait jars growing cultures, and before the end of the summer I hope to have a pond near my vegetable garden. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing.

Remember we do not keep fish, we keep water. My water values are spot on and my KH needs adjusting here and there. To learn more about pond building look up Gerard Touhey the happy crazy Irish pond builder. He flies around the world building ponds for folks.

I don't know if you did or not but pleaaase tell me you siliconed/sealed the inlet and outlet tubes to and from the filter? I don't want you experiencing bad leaks in time to come!! Cool video, i'm in the process of building a nature pond without a pump for my parents at the moment, aim is to get a perfect balance of oxygenators and marginals! Would love to see you do something similar although i aporeciate it can be exoensive deoending on liner choice!!
@FishShopMatt
@FishShopMatt 6 күн бұрын
Yeah all the joins are sealed and the filter has seal rings on the inlet and outlet so no worries there. I always find with planting a pond that I just keep adding plants until the water runs clear. As long as you have a good variety of mariganls, oxygenators and deep water planting you should cover all bases for wildlife.
