Hello Miss Heidi, your garden is amazing!!! At 53:29 you mentioned year-round interest (which we all wish we had) so do you have a Winter Garden Tour? I am requesting you allow us a garden tour for all seasons - this year of your home garden please. I really like the variety of plants you have shown us which is even more special since they're easily available in local nurseries here in States have or have access to on-line world-wide. It is so nice to see yet another stellar year of your being a gardener for all levels! In just one of your smaller garden insets in the lawn, could be what might be planted along the borders or in corner chunks for an entire smaller front yard; it shows how your selections of color, texture, height, width and especially the Spring & Summer blooms that trail after one another gives a spectacular display of color & the many other characteristics mentioned for season(s) long interest. Wonderfully presented and easily understood with your soft cadence. Thank You Heidi!

I heartily agree with your request for a tour every season! A well-designed + executed garden is fascinating, with a collection of attractions special to that season. Then there are the year-round charms, always good to have + observe.

Thank you for the beautiful garden tour. I was inspired by you and bought several types of shrubs and flowers that you introduced. All of them are very beautiful and have given a new look to my garden. In your video at minute 12:45, next to the hydrangea, there is a big pink shrub, if I am not mistaken, it should probably be the Butterfly Bush. I would appreciate it if you could mention this shrub in the next video. I sincerely thank you and wish you the best❤️🙏❤️

I saw supertunias and sunpatients side by side in a garden where it looked like they didn't keep up on fertilizing and I have to say the sunpatients outperformed the supertunias by a long shot, if fertilizing is something that someone struggles with (like me). I'll be making the switch next year fir sure.
@gardencrossings

Yes supatiens are way easier if you don't fertilize well but are able to keep up on the water.

You have a beautiful breath taking garden especially those big blooms of hydrangea. You have a gorgeous Quick Fire Fab hydrangea maybe you can give me some advice. I have the same plant for about a year now. I live in zone 3 and survive the winter. It's robust and has very green leaves but no sign of buds for flower at all. I pruned in the spring when they started to sprout buds and received enough sun daily
@gardencrossings

That is interesting. Usually sun would be the issue that it is not getting enough.

Your garden is a dream! I am obsessed with all your hydrangeas and their size and blooms. Question for you: I just planted a few in a hedge in front of a wooden fence, are there any perennials that i could plant in front of it or back of it that would complement them well? Thanks.

Your garden looks superb. How do you care for like watering the different plants and keeping them look so healthy. Even your lawn is green and lush especially in the heat of summer. You group different plants in the pots and they need different amounts of water so how do you keep them happy. Thank you!

In our yard we have underground sprinkling that hits the grass and the garden beds. Our containers are on drip irrigation so they also get watered once a day unless they are in the Aquapots, then they are in a self watering planter.

I was wondering if you have problems with termites? I would not be able to plant that close to the house in my zone 9b. We have to leave a 3 ft space from the plant to the house to check for termite tunnels, especially with all the rain we get. We have had rain every day for 3 weeks, not an all day rain but enough to keep the yard wet enough to cause problems. My back yard smells like the marsh. Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I love those deep red cone flowers!

Stunning Display of immaculate flower combinations. Very impressive! I do have a question, what are the pillar type evergreen shrubs bordering the one side of your yard. Looks like they gave about 30ft tall. They make for a beautiful border. And do you know are they susceptible to bag worms? Again, love watching someone passionate about gardening! True beauty and thank you in advance for responding.

Really enjoyed this tour. I'm just wondering if you can tell me why my coral berry loses all of its leaves? I don't see any bugs and no fungus that I can identify. I moved it out of full sun and into more filtered light. It kept its leaves longer but still lost them. Garden answer has hers in full hot sun with no issue. I'm wondering if it can be a watering issue? I live in west michigan. Mix of zone 5/6. I look forward to seeing more videos from you!

Does your milkweed get aphids towards end of season. I planted two Cinderella milkweed this year and they are covered in orange aphids which has me concerned for my surrounding plants. I actually couldn’t take it anymore and cut them down. Just curious if You have same situation??
@gardencrossings
@gardencrossings Жыл бұрын
Yes orange aphids are very common with milkweed. I just let them be, they usually stay on the milkweed. You cant kill them because you will also harm the caterpillars. I will be posting a video referencing this in the next week or two at the Northern Michigan garden. Watch for that video coming soon.
