Me too. He's so relaxed and not shy at all. Normally they come out at night but this one was out at daytime. Probably checking what we're doing there. My husband was pruning the roses 🌹 in that corner some minutes before 😃

I've had a couple of years where squirrels took fruit right off the trees. I caught them in the act many times. 🙄 But usually it's just the birds that insist on getting their "fair share" of the fruit. 😂 That's super interesting coloring on your Amaranth (Callaloo) - mine have never done that. Calendula is such a prolific, cheerful flower. 😊 Beautiful Zucchinis! 👏👏👏 Rain really does make a difference - or so I've heard! 😁😎 Your Tomatillos are ahead of mine. I started late because I usually get volunteers and don't have to sow seeds. Not this year though! Oh, what a cute pumpkin! Grapes are looking good, too! ❤❤❤ Very enjoyable tour, Heidi!

We do not have many squirrels here. If it's a squirrel it's ok. It's their reward for the walnut trees that they've been planting :) The zucchinis are producing nicely this year. We're really enjoying it. It's the first year that I'm growing amaranth and it's adding great flavour to the food that we cook. Have a wonderful weekend Kim. Greetings Heidi.

Thank you Ali. The garden is developing each year a little bit more. Luckily we had some cooler days so it was easy to work in the garden. Once the heat is on we're only looking for shade. Next year I'm going to put a net over some blueberry bushes so that we can harvest them as well. Until now it was only this one nectarine so I just harvest them on time and I definitely have to put up a wildlife camera because I'm really curious who did it 😂 Have a wonderful week ahead as well. Good idea. The first year I had some netting over my blueberry bushes, but the following years there was a blackbird in the garden who took care that not too many other birds were going into the blueberries and he left enough blueberries for us. He was very noisy when other birds came into his garden.

🤔🐿 Then I wouldn't mind because I like them a lot. I have a wildlife camera I just have to set it up. But a squirrel makes sense because the bird feeder with seeds in it is often turned upside down and I was wondering who it is and a squirrel has already planted 3 walnut trees in our garden so that's the reward for it 😉😅

I know it’s always hard in the garden. There’s so many little critters that want to destroy our garden. Right now I have gopher decimating my carrots. There’s always some creature messing up our garden?

Yes, that's how it is. Gophers are even bigger than voles 😲
