From your opposing stance on using magnesium in gardening I would like to see you challenge or even discuss with other professional gardeners, not just hackers, this topic. There are several videos supporting it's use and some of us with decades of experience have discovered, combined with consistent hydration, phenomenal results reversing or preventing blossom end rot..An experiment with that random pear shaped tomato that doesn't taste good? Supplement with some Epsom salts to the side of the container it's in...it's not randomly spreading it to your whole landscape grounds when in a container. You might reconsider and add some to your in ground tomato row to result in less yellowing of the leaves. Some people add salt to raw fresh sliced tomatoes when they eat them. If the tomato grown has enough nutrients in the soil it's flavour doesn't need enhancing. Dehydrated powdered egg shells and banana peels, a teaspoon of each mixed together added to the planting hole then once a month as a top dressing on the soil mulch...this is my favorite one homegrown hack you could try. When pruning suckers of tomatoes, root them easily in water or in moist soil, either way, most will take, so you have exact clones of the parent plant to try this comparison on.

Seeds are stratified, not vernalized. Love the videos and tip my hat for using the word totipotent. Yall are almost botanist level

well, I would stay away from content farm channels since most of their "hacks" are either total bs or impractical. some to stay away from are 5 min crafts and blossom a good some good ones are this one up top ^ self-sufficient me and well not really a channel but p Alan smith on PBS is a good one as well you can also find some clips on KZfaq

@based memer - You are dead right! I did a lot of research on this a few years ago, and it was an eye opener! Cancer cures have been a thing for literally DECADES...but even though there's a few ways to go about it, they're all dirt cheap, very effective, with ingredients that anyone can afford...and there's no side effects to contend with. Of COURSE it's going to be covered up, lol! Cancer is a VERY profitable business! This is why I NEVER EVER give to any sort of "cancer charity". It's one of the biggest scams on the planet...and I will not be part of it.

are tampons really that expensive? i use pads but even the tampons here are not so expensive that I would worry about wasting it.

Seriously. Us ladies like to hold onto our products. Usually in our purse where we forget about them until we need them a year later. We have no extra to just throw around in soil. 😂

I think more people should plant apples from seed, especially with known parentage. Skillcult is a great channel to watch for apple breeding/grafting/training/etc., and he sells seeds and scions as well. And if you end up with apples that aren't good you can always graft other varieties onto that tree.

Im growing a bunch of little apple trees from seeds now, glad to have a time frame 😄

Cool video. .. Can't believe Cultivated apple trees are better than home grown apple trees! Should be the same if thesameapple!.....Seen where the barks scraped off a branch exposing bare damp wood [right word?].., next a ball with soils wrapped around the exposed bare branch area soon roots are growing in the soil in a ball. Some ad showed a plastic ball which clips shut on a skinned branch. Perhaps a tennis ball or a ziploc bag with soil or any recepticle staying in the scraped area will suffice. like juice box nice size, or plastic recycling of many different kinds , perhaps search and see what 's the ad selling, Could be worth purchasing.

@@ColeSpolaric - probably one of the "light" ones that no one uses, lol! Otherwise, those things are damn expensive! You would NOT use a tampon for anything so trivial! Btw..I highly recommend using silicone menstrual cups. I've used one for a few years now, and let me tell you, they're WAY better than tampons! While initially expensive, they last about 5-10 years, and don't dry you out like a tampon will. There's also almost no risk of toxic shock syndrome, and I find them so much cleaner too! They will also tend to hold a hell of a lot more, so unless you have a REALLY gusher of a day, lol..you can wear one all day, and just change it in the shower. Oh yeah...and you can wear a cup for twice as long as a tampon, no probs...(like up to 12hrs) unless you have the above issue of a heavy day or two, in which case, you just back it up with a pad or something. Please consider trying a cup out, whatever brand you go with. (there's lots!) I promise it'll change your life! Pair it up with some period underwear (like Modi Bodi) and your period will almost become a non-event! I've also found that since using these products and steering COMPLETELY away from synthetic throw-aways, that my cycle has become VERY short, like easily less than a week, (like 4-5 days) and cramping and such has been an absolute minimum! Maybe with this in mind, that "hack" IS a good use for tampons, lol! They're honestly terrible things!

I’ve been using a cup for years, but have been using them with pantyliners/pads as a “just in case” measure - I have adhd and can sometimes get caught out if I forget my cup 🤦🏽‍♀️ Never thought to use them with period underwear instead! Way friendlier to the environment AND the bank balance!

I know that soil science is lacking in most garden conversations. There is a woman who was a gardener at Callaway Gardens who gave in depth info about a tea from decaying roots and many benefits of rotting plants on SIDE STEP ADVENTURES of the Old Byrd Farm vlog.

The fastest way to plant bulbs is to use a trowel. Push blade into the soil to the correct depth, tilt to a 45 degree angle, plant the bulb, remove trowel, then push soil down with the other hand. Once upon a time, I planted many 1000's of bulbs for a landscaper. Takes longer to use a bulb planter.

Oooh that would be really awesome! I tried a pink banana seed kit that was supposed to be easy, and I was a beginner. Found out the had way that bananas can be pretty difficult lol. None of the seeds germinated.

There's always the old shoe box and grow lights in your closet... I won't say WHAT grows really well in those conditions, but I'm sure it applies to a variety of plants. As far as the friend thing goes, depending on WHAT you grow, the first solution could also be the second solution.

Aww...I'll talk to you about plants if you want? I'm nowhere near a teenager anymore, lol, but I have LOTS of plants! Most of them are in pots, because the soil is so poor where I am, but I'll happily share my knowledge with anyone who is willing to give things a go. :) KZfaq doesn't seem to have "discussions" page anymore for regular people. Don't know when THAT disappeared! Makes it hard to connect with people outside these sort of comments. If you actually get to seeing this and are interested, maybe I'll set up a Discord channel to use, or something. You use, Discord, right? It's wonderful! We have the technology, we just have to figure out how to use it. :P In the meantime, I'll have to keep an eye out for replies and hope I see it. :P Apologies for any delays that might occur.
