I am sooo jealous! The garden centers around my area don't carry more than half a dozen Proven Winners plants and they aren't even half the size of those. I could have so much fun with that choice of plants.

The garden centers and big box stores in my area (southeastern NC) don't have even a quarter of those plants. I've learned that some local garden centers don't stock many PW varieties. The blue and orange box stores get some PW annuals. I have better luck finding PW shrubs. I get excited to see such beautiful flowers, then I can't find them. I quit buying regular petunias because they don't perform as well as supertunias. I HATE deadheading and grooming petunias.

You can order plants online, which is a great option! I typically order from both Proven Winners and Proven Winners Direct. Two seperate companies, not directly affiliated. However...Proven Winners disappointed me recently with not wanting to replace a plant that was missing from the delivery and a handful of others that arrived in poor shape. I expected much better customer service from them!

The Raspberry Monarda in your display gardens absolutely caught me off guard - in a good way! I noticed it in your videos before, but when I walked by the plant in person, I was blown away. 😍🌸 I had a list of annuals for our first visit, but the next visit will be for perennial shopping. 😀🌱

Hi Jenny! Saturday hubby put in my elderberry bushes. They needed to be put in the ground. Their roots were coming out of the bottom of the pots and digging into the ground below. 3yrs. old. Our NC dirt is a hot mess. I have clay in one part of the yard and and sand in the other. Thank goodness for the Auger. We love it. It made the job a lot easier. Thank you and your husband for the garden knowledge. Take care.

I have the old-fashioned red hot pokers. I just chopped them back to about 6 inches. Cause we won't get blooms till summer. I let them stay up all year and let the leaves help cover the crown for winter then trim them all back in the spring. Planted in full sun around the pond. They look like little tiki torches going around the pond in the summer. Zone 6 they do great every year.

Hi Andie! Where are you located at ? As Eileen said below, good airflow is really important. The Leading Lady but also Pardon My series was really bred to be more mildew resistant. I also like to add compost to my garden beds when they are dormant in winter. They don't like it too wet either and need to have a natural cycle of wet- dry phases. If you have irrigation I recommend that you turn it off every once in a while to really let it dry up.
