@@jordanscott4543 It depends on your playing style, mimic is the best if you are a mage, mimic can be your tank while you spam night comet or use the darkmoon greatsword R2 or normal attack

@@enemystando8280 Apparently: 1. Do another NPC's quest to get a sleeping elixir that says "it can even put ancient dragons to sleep" 2. Meet the NPC that tells you about Bayle (Igor I think) 3. Fight a dragon field boss, after which he shows up again and compliments you and gives you his finger 4. Go to the dragon mommy and talk about Igor 3. wait until night 4. She should be asleep at night. Interact with her and you'll get an option to use that sleeping elixir 5. wait for a few days, after which she wakes up. Exhaust her dialogue. 6. Beat Bayle with Igor summoned and IMMEDIATELY teleport back to her (don't rest at the boss grace or anything, got right back to her) 7. Talk to her again and admit you gave her that sleeping elixir. 8. Keep talking to her and she'll say something like "you'll have to be my new lord now" 9. Accept and she'll give you her dragonbolt spell and disappear to give you her ashes. This does lock you out of getting her weapon and the priestess dragon heart which lets you transform into a dragon form. I think there are now video guides on this as well so it's probably better to look them up if you really want to get her ashes. Apparently she's kinda squishy but she gives her dragonbolt buff when summoned and her weapon can weaken enemies' lightning resistances.

I like them quite a lot actually, they have awesome bleed buildup and do better with more revered spirit ashes

I don't think I need to level up my revered spirit ashes more because the mimic tear already takes too long to die and performs way better. But everyone is free to play and use what they like. I thought a weapon was a lot more worth to add to the collection since I dont usually use summons unless a boss is giving me a really bad time. And when they do, they have crazy AOE. Jolan and Anna don't do well against that, I thought they might make some bosses easier. But I can say they can rank around the top 10 ashes. Anyways nothing I can do now but to choose the other reward on another palythrough.

@@debrie7046 Ngl, pretty awful point of comparison to not even max the revered ash. At the very least do your comparative testing in Lands Between instead so that's not a factor. The mimic tear is obviously always going to be better because it benefits from the stats of your equipment on top of the revered spirit ash bonuses, so it's naturally going to be stronger in a setting where you aren't really giving them a totally fair shake. Besides, part of the point of having two spirits is that while both are less strong than a single mimic tear, it can still help a lot for dividing aggro; Plenty of bosses can easily just stunlock your Mimic Tear because he's too stupid to make any defensive decisions, but an entire extra NPC can force the boss to swivel and attack them instead, which is exactly what happened in the showcase multiple times. They're tanky, deal good damage, and regularly guard with their shields. Obviously mimic tear depending on your build will outperform them, but I can absolutely see scenarios I'd go out of my way to get these two.

True, your mimic does have the bleed. But riddle me this, Batman. Is your summon a dragon gf who buffs your defenses, uses dragon incantations, and has voice lines when summoned?

You have go to a tower nearby on the map and check the top. Tried to make it spoiler free a bit but I can tell you where and how to get there if you want

Jolan and Anna, and Horned Warrior seem to be the only true contenders. Arguably, Mimic tear is bad because unless it spams the raw meat dumplings, it's unlikely to survive against any of the bosses you would need it at (Final bosses, messmer, relanna etc). Horned Warrior has both damage, bulk, and has incredibly high poise which gaurantees he will ALWAYS be useful in any fight, since almost nothing stops him from just wailing on an enemy, and his damage is no joke at all. It completely depends on your build if Mimic Tear is better, but I find it very unlikely against the hardest bosses that mimic tear outputs enough dps to compete with Jolan and Anna/Horned Warrior. Simply because unless they are built for bleed or etc they can't do much in terms of real damage.

Mimic gets another heal from marika blessing now, be careful you dont use it yourself tho

@@Kizen. Just set it up properly,mine constantly throws out 3k aows against final boss and even more from occasional status procs. At worse the broken ai doesn't spam it enough but still a lot better than npcs

@@yuch4eve The Horned Warrior does like 1k+ dmg per hit and spams out attacks like crazy while having infinite poise.

To get her ash before killing Bayle you need to talk to Thollier then talk to moore for an item give it to thollier then exoust his dialogue for a new item that you give to Florrisax at night pass time twice then talk to her, After that you do Igons quest like normal.
