Whether you are growing succulents & cacti indoors or outdoors, it’s really important to learn how to care for succulents and some very important Do’s and Don’ts.
Let us find out how not to kill your succulents and how to keep them healthy and happy.Succulent means full of juice : juicy. So these are plants with fleshy tissues adapted to water storage.

I put a small juvenna in water at the beginning of the year and it's just been growing! I've gotten 2 babies from it now, with others growing out the mother. It's so exciting watching plants grow. I will try put one of the babies in soil

Short summary: 1. Meaning: 'Succulent' means 'full of juice' or 'juicy' - succulents store water in their leaves. 2. Light: Succulents need about 5-6 hours of sunlight per day 3. Watering: Succulents and cacti do not like being overwatered. Water them thoroughly when the soil is dry. 4. Potting mix: You need a light/airy soil mix for cacti and succulents - use pumice/perlite and charcoal. 5. Containers: Most succulents prefer wide, shallow pots. Drainage holes are a must! 6. Fertilizers: Succulents do not need to be fertilized often (once in a few months is enough). 7. Pests: Spray Neem Oil to combat pests such as fungus gnats. 8. Cleaning: Gently wipe off your succulents' leaves with a damp cloth 9. Repotting: Take special care when repotting your succulents - add antifungal powder to prevent rot. 10. Propagation: a) from cuttings; b) via leaf propagation; c) via offsets/pups

When you keep sun loving succulents in shade the stems become 'leggy' as they stretch out in search of the sun. Hope that helps! 🙏

Please do a video on sand. Which sand is the one to use ? Where is it available? What cost effective substitutes can be used ? Can regular construction jelly br used to keep soil loose ? What should not be used ?
