I'm spent, the whole video I was yelling, " lift the blade. You're dragging the blade. The blade is hanging you up!!!"

@1:39 Look at that deer run Good review, I was looking into the Chinese ones but stumbled across these excavators and like the affordability and ease of finding attachments that you know will fit.
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator5 ай бұрын
Nick Hackenberg the owner of Groundhog Equipment has over 40 attachments available for these and he's been adding to the list. I would definitely recommend looking at what he has to offer.

Aren't these just branded Chinese ones, kind of like the kymron? I like them either way.
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator3 ай бұрын
@@tracy419 Yes but before Groundhog Equipment will put their brand on each model they test and make modifications before they offer them with the Groundhog warranty. Nick Hackenberg would be the one to talk to for more details.

@@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavatoryeah, I just meant they are the same machines. Unfortunately if I get one it'll likely be the unmodified version bought locally. By the time I got it shipped to the West Coast the total cost would put it out of my reach. But on the bright side, it'll allow me to get some cheap welding tools and the opportunity to learn new skills😄

great idea to add a cart to the micro excavator. i will add this to my plans for my chinese micro exc as soon as i have mounted my ordered hydraulic thumb. cheers from sweden!

Thanks for watching! Adding a ball hitch to the blade has worked out very well for me but if you try this just double check the clearance between the blade of the machine and the tail swing of the excavator house. I wouldn't want you to find out the hard way when you traverse 360 degrees and hit your trailer hitch by mistake. I ran into clearance issues with my second mini excavator that I didn't have with the first one but I'll save the details for a future video.

Where did you get the yellow rake from it looks a little heavy then the other one
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator Жыл бұрын
It's the heavy duty rake from GroundHog Equipment. It's definitely worth having if you have brush to clear

Another question ....Do you prefer the gas or battery powered chainsaw? That was so quiet!
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator3 ай бұрын
I prefer gas chainsaws especially if I'm going to be cutting all day but the electric one is nice for quick jobs. The main down fall of the electric saw is the battery. They take to long to charge, very expensive to replace and just like every other electric tool the battery will be obsolete in a few years. I've got gas saws that are thirty years old and still run. Just my opinion though.

I broke my quick change How much were the steal tracks cost.
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator Жыл бұрын
Well the steel tracks for the KH14G are going to cost $1,195 plus shipping. If you need them for a ZH20D, ZH22D, or a BH24D they will cost $1,295 plus shipping. A standard quick hitch will cost $265 plus shipping and a spring loaded quick attach will cost$595 plus shipping. Your quick attach is the first I've heard of failing. Did you call GroundHog Equipment at 570-765-9338. Maybe they could help and at the very least they could let the manufacturer know so improvements may be made on the design.

Nice work but wouldn't it be both quicker and easier to do it by hand?
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator Жыл бұрын
Not if you have a back injury. Something like this is life changing for veterans and others who have health issues and would otherwise not be able to get out and enjoy living again. Trust me these GroundHog's are worth having and they will most definitely out lift a human.

What kind of trailer are you using
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator Жыл бұрын
The ATV30 trailer is Made by Creek Bank Welding. They are produced in Ontario Canada. I bought mine from Hoover tractor in Middleburg Pennsylvania. They carry an entire line of these trailers and are worth a look. Hoover Tractor's number is 570-966-3821. If you call please let them know you saw it on my video. Thanks for watching.

Question for you: are you happy with the 14 or are you kinda wishing you had a 20? I'm considering a mini and in my experience with machinery I usually wish I would've gone bigger most of the time! Anyway love your videos!
@gardnersgroundhogminiexcavator Жыл бұрын
Well to honest I chose the 14 because GroundHog Equipment sells more of the one ton units than anything so I figured it would help grow my channel faster. I was really amazed what all I could do with the one ton so I guess my answer for you is to imagine what you might want to do with the excavator. If your worried how much it will lift just figure about 25% of the total weight of the excavator is usually a safe load limit. Usually they will lift more but that's when things get tippy.
