2012-2016 easily a top 5 player in the world. The guy at that period was seriously a monster that you don’t wanna face. Can score any type of goals,absolutely insanely fast as soon as he has the ball and incredibly clutch when Madrid needs a hero. In games where Ronaldo is man marked and can’t do his magic,Benzema cannot score,Modric may not be able to do his magic or such Bale would absolutely step up be it a fast solo goal or some rocket of a shot if not some key assist that other big players can finish. Bale's Prime was when he barely signed for RM, he still had that TOP SPEED and Agility, after some seasons, he lost his top speed and agility for some strenght, which was a downside since those were his strenghts as a player and winger, you can see it on some clips where he didnt have a beard and short clean haircut,people who say he played better later on is nonsense and they do not watch laliga, just UCL matches, i have watched every single game of madrid and you can tell the difference
@nashorn75386 ай бұрын
Very true. He bulked first for the 14-15 season in which he played the most games for RM, so it was probably to get injured less often. Then he came back lighter for the 15-16. But when he came back from his big injury in early 2017 he struggled to find the right shape and stayed with that "heavier" apparence which is a shame as the 16-17 season was destined to be the real prime Bale right between physical youth and experience; he was Madrid main man on the field till his injury against Sporting in november 2016.

@@gettjerry2362I think it was Spanish media getting back at England for their treatment of Fernando Torres. I'm not even joking
@Muklantelevision6 ай бұрын
I basically watched all games during his time at Real Madrid and the explanation really is simple. Forget the injuries, of course that sucked, but the real reason for lack of acknowledgement was because of how much he lacked presence in a lot of games. Everyone knew just how ridiculous this guys ability was, but he only seemed to care for it sometimes. Sure there’s a lot of great highlights, but they don’t reflect his general RM-career. Everyone knew what he was capable of and became frustrated with him not whipping out that arsenal (pun intended) no matter what game it was. Unlike a certain Cristiano, Bale simply didn’t seem to give his best at all times.
@BFCNick6 ай бұрын
@@Muklantelevision He let the media get to him. He was to La Liga what Fernando Torres was to the premier league. Torres was the most expensive player in epl history at the time, Bale was the most expensive player in la liga history at the time. He always showed out in the ucl, from group games to the finals, but any little clip of less than perfect and la marca was on him like a mosquito. He was also a factor in Ronaldo's departure. Look up their respective interview after the 2018 final versus Liverpool. It was clear both of them were offering an ultimatum "me or him" Ronaldo is such a big brand that Bale had the entirety of his fandom, as well as Spanish Media working against him.

I'm not Welsh and I'm not a Barcelona supporter, but Gareth Bale was better that CR7. He was stronger, faster, a much better dribbler, much more agile and light on his feet. He also had just as much as a shooting ability, passing, crossing and game sense as that of CR7. He was just not allowed to display his full talent on the pitch. He was not given a quarter of the freedom and influence that Ronaldo had inside RM, which is quite tragic and unfair for someone with Bale's talent. To be so good with this massive potential and be treated as second grade player behind CR7 couldn't have been a good thing for him, I'm sure that affected him and contributed to his injuries, no wonder he lost the passion for the game in his last few years as a pro. Despite that he achieved so much, incredible. Imagine if he had CR7 and Messi's PR; unthinkable alas for the FIFA mafia and the fraud press.
