If you're as old as me, you'll understand when i say that an England team in a major tournament coming back from behind to win on three separate occasions, and scoring every single penalty in a tournament, including during a shoot out where our keeper got a save, is genuinely hard to wrap my mind around. Say what you like about Southgate, but the mentality he has built in this team is an absolute revolution.

These players have resilience like I have never seen

I'm 47,and these last few tournaments since this man took over have been amazing, win or lose on Sunday,and any football fan knows a final can go either way,but Southgate should get our respect and thanks no matter the result,I remember the times of getting knocked out early or not qualifying at all,so thanks for making it enjoyable Southgate lad

I’m a British-born citizen of Moroccan heritage. I’m currently on holiday in Morocco to see my family. I support both England and Morocco equally. I brought my England shirt with me just for the games. I watched this one in a cafe in Morocco with my friend and all the waiters were rooting England on. When we won we were all screaming and shouting in joy! The waiters gave me a free large cappuccino to congratulate me! Edit/Fun fact: the lions on the England shirt and UK passport are Barbary lions, which were native to Morocco’s Atlas Mountains before going extinct! This is why England are called the three lions and Morocco are called the atlas lions

I was a Southgate critic. But after that match. I eat my words. That was a managerial masterclass. And against a big team in the semi final. Hats off to you Southgate. Tactically spot on in the first half. Midway through the second half the Dutch were getting back into it. Made the necessary changes and won us the game. Well done Southgate. That was your best performance as England manager.

Being England manager is like walking a tight rope. . If we win against Spain Gareth will be knighted…had Bellingham not scored in the last minute against Slovakia this would habe been the most embarrassing performance in the Euros ever for an English team…there’s nothing in between…Madness!!!

England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 has not played the best football especially at the start of the tournament, but there seems to be something special and a unstoppable force pushing them forwards. No matter what people say England have been clinical with their chances, unlike France lucky or not we r in the final. Gareth has the hardest job and no matter the result, managers will always face criticism early in convincing or not he has got the job done and that’s all people care about and remember. It’s easy to say what you would do from the outside. He is a defensive minded manager and was as a player. Spain have been convincing and flamboyant and exiting but do not have the morale and motivation of England. England believe they can always find a way and want revenge and justice for the last euros. I think England can win it and should not be counted out they are the ones now with less pressure and feel the consistent improvement every game. Everyone is now blessing Gareth and backing him, when before they were calling him to be sacked mid tournament and had no support or belief. He has proved everyone wrong and we take him for granted he will be hugely missed when he is gone. My prediction: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 3-2 🇪🇸 - in ET

I really would love to see Foden Palmer and Mainoo linking up from the start of the game.

Hats off to the man, don’t always like some performances but his record is great and the team spirit is the best I’ve seen for a national team.

Irrespective of what happens on Sunday, Gareth and the players can be proud. Last night was the first time I remember watching England in a match where they went behind and being totally relaxed and thinking "we can totally get back into this".

Mainoo was just insane all game. What a talent

Foden was brilliant, his performance first half with kobbie finding him felt natural and Bellingham even passed to Foden more in this game than the rest of the Tournament. Kane did ok first half but let’s be serious here, he made England look better when he moved over to the wing and was not having any involvement with the play. Once Kane moved out, Foden moved in, and it had nothing to do with Kane moving defence around. Foden is a ball receiver and link up play player who needs men around him who have speed of though and class touches, give and goes. We need to find a way to give kobbie the ball to link up with Foden. Kane isn’t making runs to connect to Sakas cutbacks and that is a tactical flaw that we must fix for final. The solution is to start Kane and focus attacks from wide and find a goal early from Saka. The 2nd half you need to bring on Watkins at half time but not Palmer until 75th min. This way you can link up kobbie to Foden to Watkins. Palmer comes on fresh legs to add more pressure in same mindset. The penalty we won was luck. We got lucky, Southgate did well with subs

How Southgate explained changing tactics to adapt to Holland‘s constant changes was very impressive… Some managers wouldn’t have even noticed or made the multiple changes, thinking very quickly… that kept us in the game and then the subs won us the game. Great performance from Team and manager. I’m 43 and trust me I’ve seen tournament after tournament of the golden generation, never get anywhere near a final and always bottle it in the big moments (pens, how poor were they at pens, we’ve won 3 out of 4 under SG). This team doesn’t bottle anything.

3 semi finals in 8 years, 2 finals in 8 years. Potential end trophy drought for England since 1966. But no matter what, English fan still hate & disrespect Southgate. I never understand that, y English supporters always so negative??

What I’ve loved so much about this team is that we haven’t just relied on one player to always get us over the line. In the Slovakia game we had that stunning goal from Bellingham in the dying seconds and Tony’s impact despite coming on so late. In the Switzerland game we had Saka’s world class performance, Pickford’s penalty save and top class penalties from all of England’s spot kickers. Against the Netherlands we had Mainoo’s fantastic performance and Ollie Watkins and Palmer proving the strength we have on our bench. What’s more Guehi who has arguably been England’s player of the tournament in my opinion. This isn’t just a team with one or two world class players but a team filled with talent who are capable of producing brilliant individual moments when it matters. Watching this team start shaky but slowly come together as a team over the course of this tournament has been frustrating yet beautiful to watch. Southgate also deserves the credit he’s been long overdue. Let’s just hope some of the fickle fans don’t turn on him again whatever the outcome is on Sunday.
