quick tip. If you get a pail of ice cold water and dip your hands into it before pulling the roast you can counter act the heat. Learned that from a butcher at a pig roast.

@@WeekendWarriorBBQ most welcome. Keep up the good videos. I got a vertical PB last September and you really helped me get going with it. Favorite smokes are Grava lox with a smoke maze and ribs. Building up to the "Brisket".

What do you do with the mop in between mops and how do you clean the mop

I have a little plastic ziplock bag and put the mop head in there between mops. The mop gets cleaned with dish soap and water.

Wow, awesome cook Mike! That pork butt looked delicious! Did you trim the fat cap a bit? Great bark and pulled perfect. The corn, onion salad was a nice compliment. Nicely done!

Thank you, Jay! There was only a very small fat cap on this cut so I left it alone. I have smoked a lot of pork butts and this one was the best! 😁

Mike, I smoked a Chairmen Reserve prime pork but last weekend. It come already trimmed and turned out great. I used my Memphis Pro with Lumberjack Comp pellets. It was about 7 lbs. smoked at 250. Total time was about 10 hours with a 2 hour rest..love your channel brother!
