Meanwhile Wu was too busy doing….? Like don’t get me wrong Lloyd isn’t his son, but he’s his nephew-and rather than giving him a proper home and education for the fist few years of his life (a mistake that he does correct and I am glad he did) he lets Lloyd spend his foundational years at DARKLY’S of all places. All the while Wu for all we know is just growing a beard at the Monastery with no students, no real job aside from hiding the golden weapons exactly once, just casually drinking tea.

If you think about it, Wu is the closest thing Ninjago has to an actual version of Jesus, cuz if you think about the logistics, the First Spinjitzu Master would be god cuz he created all of ninjago, which would logically make Wu Jesus, and Garmadon would be Satan

...idk what this says about me but i've actually had a long discussion with someone about this @~@ from an etymological point of view, he does exist. in season 13 right at the start of "Dungeon Party", Plundar says "Jeez, buddy, relax! That's Adam." if things are the same as they are in the real world, jeez is a shortened form of jesus and therefore jesus exists in ninjago. simple as that. (i'm... so sorry for what the rest of my comment is about to be) if you want to go the extra mile though... first you have to assume the history of the real world also applies which sounds weird, i know but it was the basis for my discussion with my friend. mostly because we were running with "The treadmill was invented in 1818!" referring to the real year 1818. also you have to be willing to play fast and loose with logic (moreso if you want to see just how far things reach) there are multiple ferris wheels in the series which means the World Colombian Exposition of 1893 must have happened. while similar things existed previously, it was named as such at the exposition and the one at Mega Monster Amusement Park is specifically called out in "The Snake King" by Wu: "Oh, Ferris wheel!" part of the origin of the ferris wheel was that it was made to one-up the eiffel tower which means france exists. since the eiffel tower is in paris that means that paris must ALSO exist. paris was established somewhere from 40BC-11CE which is within the timeframe of the Roman Empire. thanks to the history of pizza (which has been proven to exist in ninjago several times over), its predecessor focaccia must therefore also exist. focaccia may have actually been a recipe from the ancient greeks or etruscans, but it was known as panis focacius to the ancient romans and more specifically it proves that the roman republic and therefore the roman empire also existed. if that seems too weak or pizza isn't your thing, then Jay also makes reference to gladiators in "Versus", specifically stating "Good. Then we can finally put our feud to rest. Gladiator style!" gladiators were were at peak popularity from the 1st century BC to the 2nd century AD, which is absolutely within the timespan of jesus's life and once again proves the roman empire is real since that was their origin point. this not only means that jesus could be real with the etymology but that the roman empire was ALSO real and probably crucified him as usual. (my genuine train of thought with all this is that while belief in the first spinjitzu master is probably more widespread thanks to his kids still being around, christianity or at least some form of it is also around, probably as a more localized belief) just for fun, other things that are canon or otherwise exist in ninjago thanks to passing reference: + the zodiac (Wu, "Codename: Arcturus": Indeed we did, brother. They even named a celestial zodiac after him.)(sidenote this just makes me wonder what else is in the ninjago celestial zodiac and more importantly why a guy who was banished to another realm 40 years ago is in it) + Shakespeare (or at least Romeo and Juliet. multiple instances. Jay, "Only One Can Remain": You just had to leave me hanging, huh, Romeo? Jay, "Ninja Roll": Whoa, easy, Romeo.) + the metric system (Nya, "Scavengers": Multiple contacts. Six meters in.) + the concept of elves (Cole, "Scavengers": Do not say alien abductions again, or dimensional rifts, or elven magic portals!) + other continents (metalonia might be a separate continent but no certainty there. Ronin, "Scavengers": You want world championships this time or just intercontinental?) + at least one PTA (Jay, "The Invitation": I'm here with Cathy, tireless mother of four, pillar of the PTA, and returning contestant.) if you ever have time on your hands, going through what all was at the world colombian exposition and therefore what is also canon in ninjago is one HELL of a rabbit hole as long as you're willing to accept the exposition or some form of it as canon to begin with. tl;dr technically there's basis in history and language for jesus to exist in ninjago and scavengers is a surprisingly useful episode for making other things exist (sources: ninjago wiki for episode transcripts, wikipedia articles on the ferris wheel, paris, gladiators, and pizza and the sources on said pages. i think there might've been other pages in the initial search but i didn't write them down at the time) have a nice day/night/whenever you're reading this!
