Learn about some basic and common issues that arise on the Garmin Alpha 100 and how to fix them including a white screen, clearing dog tracks, changing settings and more.To jump to a certain section click "SHOW MORE" below.
Zoom map to dogs (map keeps zooming out) starts at 0:48
Screen brightness starts at 1:35
Map is gone/white screen starts at 2:15
DriveTrack won't connect starts at 4:00
Change dog track color starts at 5:10
Change dog ID & update rate starts at 6:20
Pink line on screen starts at 8:40
Turn off beeps & notifications starts at 9:30
Clear tracks starts at 10:45

Thanks for the tips. I have 3 dogs programmed on my Alpha. One of the dogs was programmed by the vendor with a blue colored track - very hard to see in the daytime. Now I know how to change it. Thanks.

I got a Alfa 100 mini T15 for Christmas and I’m trying to clear my tracks, the video said go to track manager. There is not a track manager on my unit only waypoint manager. So do I have a newer unit than what you are demonstrating? If so how do I clear the tacks?

Hey, not a hunter but live in Northern Ontario in the woods with a pointer. I bought the Canadian Astro 900 and am freaking because it’s been on the charge for 5 hrs and still shows solid red in the second led. Is it broken? I just picked it up today and since it’s COVid no returns until our lockdown ends in June. ☹️

I run tt15 minis w my alpha. When i run my dogs with my buddies dogs who also has the alpha and tt15, my newest collar has horrible communication when i hunt with him. Not even useable. I tried re- pairing before we hunt, updating too. It does not communicate. When it does its brief. I get a interference detected message. Like i said the collar is 6 months old. What do you recommend i do?

Not sure if you are referring to the map pointer or the arrow that represents yourself, but at this time you can't enlarge it it the settings.

So I bought garmin alpha tt15 bundle pack only a few weeks ago and the collar is staying on green and not flashing and the handheld is not reading it. I cant turn the collar off it just stays lit up a solid green color. Any suggestions as to what the issue is?

Try holding the button down on the collar for about a minute

Can't tell you the best, but the alpha 100 would work great for you. Handheld device also works great as a gps if you hike, hunt, or fish.

I have question for you guys. I have the Alpha 100 TT15 and I'm trouble Charing one of the collars. It charges for a little while and then the light turns from red to green and then in a minute or so it changes again from green to red. It continues to do this can you tell me what I need to do to fix this problem?

Try holding the power button down for about a minute, while the collar is plugged in! Hope that helps!

Take your collar out of your handheld, and re-add it back in. See if that helps!

There’s a tilt switch in the collar any time the dogs head lifts up pass parallel it activates the tree switch
