I have received lots of questions regarding the Garmin Fenix 6 and 6x as well as the previous Fenix 5 I had. I put this video together to go over some things in more detail. Please visit the Specs tab on this website for a full overview -

Hi Sean , yep I’m the guy that asked you about Hang Gliding / Paragliding etc , after your review i decided to do alittle more research and you are right , it has all the hardware needed to assist in flight , so much so ….. I’m the proud owner of a 6X pro . Love it , battery life is incredible , does everything in want and more . Keep up the great vids and looking forward to your review on the fenix 7 ( when it finally comes out (“,)

Great review Sean, I am a mountain biker a d that is the first time I have seen that MTB function its AWESOME! I am purchasing the 6x pro i feel this one checks a lot boxes the all other watches out there. I'm a trail runner as well and I feel the mapping is key. Thanks again and be safe out there.

Thanks very much James! I totally agree it is a very well rounded watch that I’ve personally used for MTB, triathlons, road cycling, running and a lot more. The maps included are not the fully featured maps, the full topographical maps are about 30-50 dollars extra depending on region.

Chris Karagiannis yea there are lots of 3rd party map applications and you can obviously add paid maps to the device too 👍 cheers for the extra info

I use the Garmin Inreach mini, with it I get all the maps I use on the trail.

Got the fenix 6 sapphire. Not happy with the sapphire, had the special edition 6 (x?) Pro solar and the display looked 100% more enhanced by the gorilla glass. Almost like an 4k oled screen on a premium smartphone. The sapphire on the other hand looks like a old flip phone. Plus the data Almost pops out at you on the pro solar glass vs the sapphire which has more of an 2d look. The readability is sooo much better in all conditions on the glass over the sapphire. All in all I'm torn. I think I'll return the 6 sapphire and get the 6 pro.

Thanks for the feedback. Definitely helps everyone looking at these watches and reading the comments 👍. I had the 5 sapphire years ago and upgraded eventually to the 6x sapphire so I actually have not compared it myself to the other versions. I get what you mean it’s probably the sapphire glass dulling the display vs the none sapphire. Personally I think across the board they should be pretty scratch resistant so I’d choose the one you like the best. I tend to scratch up the bezel and have had no scratches on the sapphire screen myself so just stuck with that. If I upgrade to a newer model someday I will check out all the models first. Thanks for the review. Do you have an actual smartwatch as wel? like apple watch or is Garmin fenix completely enough for what you have been experiencing in general daily use

Davit Avagyan Although I do use apple phones, macbook and Mac mini I’ve actually found the Fenix to be more than enough for what I need. I got it just for sports and tracking purposes initially and with the push notifications, Spotify and a simple calendar it works. If you are looking for a more lifestyle watch with apps and so on I would check out the Apple Watch.

Great video Had mine a year its a great watch it can do so very much the next version will make my tea lol I use talky toaster maps The power lasts forever and does all we ever need What do you think they'll do with F7 ?

Do you wear the watch snug (as recommended by garmin online) to run or hike. Or do you tighten it up just a bit more?

I do wear it snug but not to get a better HR reading just personal preference. Don’t like it bouncing around. With all watches and HR sensors they work alright but to get accurate data I suggest a chest monitor.

Debating buying the fenix 6 pro, but worried that the fenix 7 gets released soon.

Cyani always a concern for sure. The 6 released Aug 2019 so maybe wait till year end and see what happens if you’re not in a rush.

I'm getting the 6x pro today since its on sale. If the 7 comes out it will probably be released summer of 2021 or fall of 2021

I think the one in the photo is the stock Fenix one. Another one like it is infocal by Rstudio. One I’m using at the moment is Crystal by PixelPathos.
