definitely appreciated to have a review made by a runner, which have a insight of what a sport means. A lot of people review a product despite they made sport just occasionally. One thing is not clear to me, could we download into the sportwatch the training we want to do?

Very helpful in terms of what each unit's capability is and isn't. Looking at getting Amazfit T-REX Pro, which is a step or two up from the Stratos, but still does similar things in terms of monitoring etc.

You can connect a chest strap to Stratos 3, via bluethoot. Despite that, great reviews. After watching a couple of reviews, yours included i bought the stratos 3 and for a casual runner, like a couple of miles 5 times a week, its just perfect. Cheers.

Tks for the review. In Brazil, Garmin 245 costs 3x more than amazfit Stratos, so i made my choice after your video. Both are great. Waiting my amazfit stratos 3 bought in a aliexpress promo ($129 dollars)

The amaze with Stratus is so beautiful the chrome the detail and the color so much better than Garmin for lesser price

The biggest problem with the 245 is the battery life. Around 4-5 days is not enough. 10-12 would be an instant buy for me.

Nice comparison. Garmin can play music from your apps and has some useful features like body battery, fall detection etc. But Amazefit is a better vfm option,as always. In the end, you end up getting what u paid for.

Thanks for the great comparison review. My question; which watch has the better button tactile feeling? The satisfaction from pressing buttons can be (and is) a deciding factor.

I usually do cycling training of 6 and 7 hours, what autonomy does the stratos 3 have in these cases , and the materials of the watch are resistant or not as much as a garmin

I have the Garmin fenix 6 Solar. Premium Garmin watch but its heartrate is off by 20 bpm. Where as my old stratos 2 is just as accurate as the gold standard chest strap by Polar. Please can you test the Garmin fenix 6. I want to know whether I just got a faulty watch or if the fenix 6 is just not that accurate.

I'm gear s 3 (Daily) owner and bip (running, cycling, Mountain walk, tennis and football) is Worth to upgrade bip to stratos 3 even if a have s3 too? Greeting.

Thanks for this comparison. Both nice watches. Quick question: One of the nice running features on Garmin is the 'virtual running partner', where you can set a time (or a pace) you want to run over a specific distance and then the watch show you whether you are slower, faster or doing ok. I find this very motivating when I run and need to achieve a a good time. Does the Stratos have anything similar?

Hi, Don. Would you be able to do a GPS test on the Stratos 3 to see if it is as accurate as the big boys (ie, Garmin, Suunto, Polar, Coros). Have been considering a Garmin or Coros but couldn't justify the extra cost as I don't run/cycle regularly. Thanks.

I have the Garmin venu and also the T-Rex pro and i love the build and quality of the Amazfit. The one thing I don't like is that it doesnt track my calories burned as accurately as the Garmin. Also it doesn't track my calories I burn while I sleep. I use my fitnesspal to track calories in and calories out. I want the calories I've eaten to be thrown in to the equation. The Garmin does that with their back end algorithm and the Amazfit doesn't even work with my fitnesspal. The battery life is Wayyy better on the Amazfit than the venu. I get 4 days with the Garmin venu and 10 days with the Amazfit trex pro. I will be sending it back but it's a good looking watch!

Nice review! How long does the battery last in the Stratos with GPS on in the accurate mode? On the official website says 35hs vs 20hs for Garmin. And how easy the Stratos connects to other apps like strava? Thank you!

Coming from series 5 the watch kept an eye out on my HR extremely well. I did a heart stress test with medical equipment on me and the watch kept up with all the way to 180 HR. I am trading my iPhone 11 for an Galaxy 10s and want something that works for heart rate for my at home stair master walks with the dogs and other home activity. I tried the Samsung active 2 and Fitbit sense the Fitbit is better as long as you keep your watch close to your heart otherwise not even close to the series 5 watch. Can the Garmin watch 245 or the vivoactive 4 do those things well?

Get the amazfit gts 2 ;) My 245 music is ok, but I miss amazfit

Two drawback of stratos 3 are because of thier app. 1. App will show wrong sleep and HR data. 2. All activities start time will appears with 30min difference.
