The panoptix and livescope are different. Here's a video that explains some of the differences (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fLOpZMuUtsCrYKc.html). There are two livescope transducers out (LVS32 and LVS34). The 34 is about 30% better than the 32. I go over those differences here (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p9Oaraxes-CRlZs.html). The 34 is a little more expensive. I've owned them all. The panoptix was/is cool. The livescope allows you to tell the species of fish.

I'm running the Amped Outdoors 32aH battery, model AO-4S32. It's a 474 Watt-hour battery. I'm running the black box and a Garmin GPSMap 1222 on this dedicated battery.

Cabela’s is having a sale on their live scope for 1000 bucks but you’re saying that the 34 is much better would you spend the extra $700 on the 34 or would you just get the 32

The 106sv is a touchscreen and the digital menu encroaches the screen too much for my liking. Your battery configuration will work, but I've seen recommendations against. I have Powerpoles on my starting battery, so I don't want anymore draw. Here's what Amped Outdoors said on their website: Dirty Power - Today's modern fishing electronics are hands down better than they have ever been. They draw more power and are capable of providing crystal clear images. The biggest issue people have is running all their boat 12V components off of one battery. You introduce dirty power using your live well pumps, phones, cameras, anchoring systems and all other 12v accessories. Isolating your fishing electronics (graphs and chart plotters) to an isolated lithium battery will ensure you are getting the best image and performance possible

@@BrianGaberFishing You can hide the touch screen. I will let you know if I get any interference after install. It is worth a try as my LiveWell pump only runs intermittently along with occasional use of the minnekota talons. Right now I have them wired to a size 31 lead acid battery that also runs my starter and electronics. With the addition of the 106sv and livescope, I plan on switching to an Ionic lithium 125ah battery for starter and electronics, and two lithium 100ah batteries for trolling motor, using a 3 bank norco charger. This should make things simple for recharging, less weight, and longer run times, I know two people who currently have similar set ups with no issues.

LVS32 is great still .. if the 34 wasn't released we would still be talking about the 32. Boils down to if you want the new.

@@TexasKen Right, some people still use the old flashers that came out years ago and are happy with them.
