Skate 3 is INSANELY CHALLENGING! (12 years later)

We have been playing a LOT of Session on this channel lately with the release of the Session 1.0 update, but today I wanted to switch things up a bit and play Skate 3 again! Every single time I play Skate 3, it brings back this wave of nostalgia from my childhood, but the problem is, I've always sucked at the game. Especially after playing skate sims for so long, playing a game like Skate 3 has always been unnecessarily challenging for me. Today, I wanted to try my hardest to actually remember the Skate 3 controls and do my best to suck less at the game. I ended up having way more fun than I expected making this video, and I'm definitely going to be making some more Skate 3 videos moving forward!

Skate 3 was my childhood, its funny to see garrett play the game and go back in time. The upcoming 'Skate.' game will be unbelievably sick after twelve years of waiting for a new EA skate game. Im curious to see how they'll improve on the last one :))

this game was the main reason i bought an xbox in 2018 (and started skating finally), but i made a few fun maps that me and my friend enjoyed, some people even downloaded some of them. Good memories. Wasnt my childhood tho, i was pretty late to it, im 25 for reference :D

The thing is, skate was the realistic skate game in its time. it just evolved so much by skate 3 that you were able to do anything. Only after the current wave of sim skaters skate 3 seems hella "arcade". The genre really do be evolving lol

So Garrett, you went to NYC recently and met up with ZekyZek who mainly posts Skate 3 content. Is that why you fired up the 360 again? Also, talk to him about Skate 3 on a PC: most, if not all, his Skate 3 content was made on a PC. Also, this is the first post in a looong time where we didn't get the voice-altered "REALISM" remark thrown in. LOL.

I played skate 3 for over a decade, then session came out on early access and haven't been back since. I don't even think I could play it now.

It kills me how people refer to the Skate series as unrealistic. Yeah the challenges got more unrealistic with every game, but when they first released they were the most realistic skate games out and with the first one their intent was to be a simulation. I know looking back now they're a hell of a lot more unrealistic than Session or modded Skater XL, but you can still skate pretty realistically. I personally can't stand when people trick line and do super ridiculous things in the game, but to each their own. Everyone has a different opinion of what is fun. If you haven't you should really try Thrasher Skate and destroy. Besides Session it's the most realistic game out there and it's amazing for it's age.

You should check out RIP EASTLAND & Rip Eastland 2.0 I made it based off of our local DIY skatepark in Charlotte NC. But they recently tore it down after they had been saying it for over two years. This summer they officially did it. And I built it as a way for anyone who wanted to skate it again or do tricks that they weren't able to do in real life.

It's not perfect as far as the glitches but the colors and patterns are extremely close to what I could get in the game compared to real life. And everyone has said it's a great recreation of it.

First time I went back to skate 3 after playing skater xl for a few months and I could turn without grabbing. Then I tried playing apex and tried to turn… and for 5 games straight kept getting out team killed because I kept firing and aiming

When I have my lil nephew over,he plays skate 3 n Max Payne 3 all the time. So I tried skate 3 while he was playing n for how much I played skater xl, I felt like an idiot playing this game lol. Crazy for how hard it was at first to turn w the triggers,now I cant turn w the joystick lol it felt so weird. Why I hope the new Skate game has both sticks n also just the one. Maybe hardcore could be both sticks.

I was hesitant to play session because I was so proud of my hardcore “realistic” skating on skate 3, I wanted to be on point for when skate 4 came out , past the point of no return I’m so ass on skate now 😂 tried playing the other night and it’s just not the same 🫤
