Garrosh is the closest to Orc-Arthas we can ever get. Also serves as a catchup for Garrosh in 9.1.

Garrosh is Orc-Arthas Change my Mind. Garrosh > Pre-Cata Thrall > Gamon > Vol’jin > Sylvanas Hiya Folks! A compilation of delicate Horde politics over the last few years. Dedicated to the best Warchief after Gamon. I always saw Thrall tried to raise Garrosh as his own. And Garrosh was kinda like that angsty teenager. Then they did Garrosh dirty after Cataclysm. “Dis be what da Horde come to…killing it’s own?” Well Yes. But now we get a Carebear Council, best orc warchief becomes a battery & undead elf gets a redemption arc.

I kinda wished Thrall should have let Varock and Baine be Garrosh's advisors rather than that pesky scheming troll Vol'jin and old cow Cairne. also I still believe that the Old Gods has influenced Garrosh's actions throughout MoP, I mean Garrosh was okay during WoD, I mean all he wanted was a united Orcish Horde to rule the world, and having his old man alive and not being a disgrace to the entire race.

@@newfacepaula thrall kinda forgot that Garrosh ONLY listened to Saurfang. in garrosh' eyes, saurfang is a true warrior and true honorable orc. but thrall be like, "omg let the old orc wept in northrend a place where his son dieded". man, it could build up somehwat like father son relation between varok and garrosh. one lost his son in an honorable fight and the other lost his father in an attempt to free the orcs. Baine and garrosh could also work in a more bro - hate relationship. dissing each other at every chance but believe each other back in dire fight. they missed huge chance with garrosh character. he could be the hot headed but honorable warchief we all need for the horde.

Garrosh going mad was basically Thrall's fault. If Thrall had listened, he would've passed down the title of Warchief to either Vol'jin or Cairne Bloodhoof.

Garrosh needed a mentor and more time to grow & learn. His character development could've been growing past his angst and anger, towards learning Honor & loyalty from Saurfang, Baine & those with experience around him. Again we see the true Garrosh in Cataclysm where he challenges Sylvanas and Krom'gar. Garrosh also had the Hellscream legacy and bloodline of warchiefs, he was exactly what the Horde needed. An. Orc. Warchief. He would've paired well with Varian and now Anduin as well.

@@Athelarius The Garrosh you are talking about is the one who was considered as the greatest heroe of the Horde, the one that only existed on another different time line and is related to us in the Mag'har unlock questline on BFA. I would like to know what happened to that Garrosh on that timeline, and why he is so different from our Garrosh.

very nice video, i do remember before that Anachronos the Ancient said that Our Garrosh is one of the darkest and most twisted versions of him. and in other timelines he went on to be a great hero, kinda makes me wonder about those other garrosh's

When i played through the Mag'har race unlock mission, i was so pissed off when i saw how that dragon said that Garrosh was the greatest warchief the Horde ever had in other timelines, but not in our timeline. That's basically Blizzard flipping off the Garrosh fans with "Oh, it just so happens that Garrosh is a piece of shit in this timeline, but not in other ones." Whatever generic fanfic writer butchered Garrosh this much and teased us with that bit in Mag'har race unlock mission can go fuck himself, cause i would much rather watch Garrosh cinematics than Saurfang ones, as awesome as the old orc is.

the sha of pride, which also influenced shaohao before hellscream (hellscream became irreversibly corrupt, due to never being aware he was being influenced by it while being extremely vulnerable to its influence) by making him cloak pandaria out of the map, deathwing undoed that with the cataclysm, funniy as it is

@@OmerSaidtr Usually the PTR uses placeholder cutscenes so since you can't use every cutscene from a patch it's usually best to wait until the patch is out so you have every cutscene to look at and get them in the right order

Once again, we're reminded that the true villains of the World of Warcraft universe are the lore writers. Especially after cataclysm. Although, for all the crimes that Warlords of Draenor commited, seeing Garrosh get destroyed by Thrall in that cinematic was pure, distilled awesome.

I'm more of a hand-to-hand combat fan. Same reason I really loved Rastakhan vs. Zul in BFA. Good choreography/fight scenes in animation are pure perfection. Then we get the magic mumbo jumbo and it just cheapens the fights. And yeah, Cataclysm was a cataclysm in more ways than one.

Magatha asked to bless Garrosh's axe (which was allowed). But he didn't know she poisoned the axe. He was even outraged after that and made peace with Baine, after Magatha's revolution failed in Thunder Bluff. And funny enough, Sylvanas cheaty-killed Saurfang in a Mak'gora and betrayed the Horde in front of the gates of Orgrimmar selling the world to death. Yet I don't see Thrall running around to make Sylvanas' answer for her crimes. Her plot armor is super THICC.

Hold up, you gotta look at the history of Mak'gora and its definition. One can argue that Thrall didn't cheat as there were no shamans when Mak'gora was created. I'm pretty sure if it had been made after the fact they would've include shamanistic powers in it.

Spells are allowed in Makgora even in the Old Orc. There is no universal rule in Makgora other than to fight until one is dead(Which was changed by Thrall in his time as Warchief to make it non-lethal). Also Thrall is a shaman ofc shamanism is his specialty and shaman is considered a weapon.

It was logistically practical all things considered. Besides garrosh waited for all the top brass of the alliance to show up. So they were all combatants to be decapitated in one stroke.

@@illmaster Theramore was bombed because it shipped Alliance soldiers into Kalimdor allowing them to build a stronghold in the Southern Barrens cutting off Horde resources and troops leaving them stuck behind enemy lines following the destruction of the Cataclysm. It was practical and necessary under terms of war.

@@dogswifty7800 Rather than shipping any soldiers, I think Theramore served as a neutral port where alliance used it to transport soldiers to Kalimdor. Theramore maybe technically part of the Alliance but their importance as a neutral ground for both side to do any kind of diplomacy to gain peace means that annihilating it is the same as saying that you have no intention of setting this peacefully. And bombing them like that is not something that horde should have ever done even though war is what they want. The bombing of Theramore not only kills soldiers of the Alliance, it has also kill any innocent people in there and any neutral party in it.(For the example the blue dragonflight which was searching focusing iris that has been stolen). So yeah, there is no Honor in it. This is why people hate Garrosh, as horde is all about honor and that is where he throws it.

Magic isn't cheating in canon lore, every mak'gora (literally all but two) where one fighter has been a wielder of magic magic has been used. Including the first mak'gora fought between Thrall and Garrosh in WotLK.

@@matbranco5632 It can be illegal if they choose to. There are no rules in the Mak'Gora. The combatants make the rules. If they specify that no magic should be used, then no magic is allowed. Same for armor.

@@Athelarius Well it is his right to live his life. Being a Warchief is a stressful job and Thrall already did so much for the Horde as warchief.
