Source has a system where different parts of the map load and unload based on where the camera is. Probably has something to do with lights getting unloaded

@ArielTF there are shaddows from offscreen objects, i think this is just portal rtx with the game swaped to gmod and as such has the bugs of realtime rtx remix

Nah screen space effects, if you dont see light there will be no bloom on light object, if you don't see object ambient occlusion will hide. Screen space effects just add effects to on screen objects lol

Thats because goldsrc maps are not made for this. you are giving goldsrc a lot of things more than what it can do. And yeah thats why it looks horrible. This is like making gta 5 or fortnite run on a ps2 do you think that it will be able to run? And if it runs how it would look like?

You can copy and paste the necessary portal RTX files to other source games (note that they need to run on the same branch as portal) and it will work but expect crashes, a lot of them. There are already tutorials online and you can find them on your own :D

@@luigi.0533 yes, i know. They should add official RT to HL2 example, but for me it doesn't make sense, because Half-Life is different thing. RT fits more to Portal 1 and 2.

Possibly, but RTX remix is designed for windows right now and not Linux, so that might be a hurdle to overcome
