The Garvey Style skiff is one of the best uses of the standard sheets of plywood. The length is two sheets long and one sheet wide. Marine grade 3/8" Okoume plywood, 17 ounce fiberglass biaxial weave, and epoxy resin are the primary build materials. This was my first boat, built under the supervision of my father at his place of work, Jim Smith Tournament Boats. I have to thank my father for giving me the love of the water, fishing, and boats, not to mention his guidance in building my new skiff.
