As someone who has experience with music production, I can tell you that it is incredibly easy to make almost anyone sound good with a bit of studio magic. All the likes of Simon Cowell care about is good looks and image. People work with her because it boosts their image, and they know that the general public don't realise extent to which music is overproduced these days.

Cheryl's vocals in the live performance are easily some of the most painful live vocals i've ever heard, my 3 cats can't say a single human word but they could've done so much better than her
