Gary, thank you for your honesty! Obedience to the Lord is very important. Forgiveness is difficult but we must do it as a true follower of Jesus. Blessings also get poured out on us as we mature in Him. 😇

I have spent a lifetime listening to Amy Grant's beautiful voice entertain and inspire. But what is not often given due credit is the source of so many of the lyrics and melodies wonderfully crafted for her to share with the world, and that source being Gary. The tenderness, honesty, and faithfulness that is found in his artistry is so simple and innocent yet remarkably profound in spirit that it has often brought me to tears. Over the course of many years I have found few songs as moving and deeply vulnerable as his song "All I Ever Have To Be". Spending time immersed in that song is a constant blessing to me. And too I could never imagine a single Christmas season without his musical jewel "Tennessee Christmas" decorating our home so lavishly with heartfelt song. There are so many others to mention like "Finally" or "I Will Remember You" or "All I needed To Say" or "One Of Two" that one can only hope it is acknowledgement enough on our part as listeners to say "Thank you so much Gary for gifting us the fruits of your amazing talent", and to thank the Lord for gifting us you. I may be a die-hard Amy fan but I am awed by the overflowing wellspring of creative people who have given her the wings to fly.

Amy Grant went down as an lgbtq satanic alphabet supporter like alot of pseudo Christians have. Refuse to listen to anyone who supports the lgbtq.

It’s wonderful to hear Gary’s testimony. Every so often we need to wake up to the reality of God’s grace and the reality of heaven and life after death. His music still connects and takes me back to a time in those early days as a believer in Jesus. As a musician, Gary’s song writing has a signature style that is identifiable in his music. It is comforting.

I know maybe a few will read this comment but... maybe Gary comes here and get my words.... I was in college on the early 80 and I followed Amy and Gary.... we all know how painful it was for them for years.... to hear this testimony of mutual forgiveness is a blessing. I am very glad about it. I always thought Gary was the spiritual part of that couple and I think he should go on and do his best to get Amy and Vince back from the place they have been.... I feel they are pretty far from the Almighty.... bur Gary can really help them find the Way.

Were you aware that for 4 years of their marriage, Gary routinely took cocaine and smoked marijuana? Amy grew tired of it, and finally threatened to leave and divorce or get counseling, so he agreed, and that is what saved the marriage at THAT point. So in my viewpoint, he broke his marriage vow EVERYTIME he used illegal drugs. PERIOD! I recommend extending your research to find more truth. Jesus said, you will know my disciples, by the fruit that they bear - disobedience is a fruit of the devil's children. Gal. 5:19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. When a person 'loves their illegal drugs more than God, that is THEIR IDOL.

So, I just saw this, Caleb. Refresh my memory, please. I don’t remember meeting you or ever spending any time with you yet you seem to be ready to judge me pretty harshly nonetheless. Still, I will not return fire. I love you and hope nothing but God’s best for you. If you’re ever in Franklin, look me up and let’s bridge the gap between your judgment and God’s reality in my life. All His best. Gary

That's actually seriously controlling that Amy asked him for a divorce and he not only says no but forces her to remain unhappily married for a further 5 years. No wonder she looked so miserable and he so hard and indifferent to her in that time. He always came across as controlling, not really love is it? I think he should have kept the story about telling Vince he forgave him to himself. It loses its genuineness when he has to pat himself on the back for it. Real forgiveness does not seek the applause of others. It's a private matter that he should have kept that way.

For the millions of people who were wounded and disillusioned by our divorce, I clearly disagree with you. Many, many have reached out and said so. That number is enormous and their thanks for hearing the truth is infinitely stronger than your criticism. All God’s best to you.
