I just came from his show in Portland, and I have two comments: #1. His set was HILARIOUS! Super funny and refreshing. If you get a chance to see him perform live, GO! 2. He stayed after the show signing copies of his book, posing for pictures, and giving hugs to everyone who wanted to meet him. And I’m not talking about staying over for 15 minutes to say a quick “hi”, signature, and a pose that takes about 8 seconds per person, and then taking off and having his manager make apologies to those fans who were left…he greeted every single fan who wanted to meet him. When I got up there (after probably 75 people), he greeted me with a smile, thanked me profusely when I told him how much I enjoyed his set and his book (that I had just finished that day), asked me if I grew up in Portland, genuinely laughed when I told him my name, followed by my phone digits (if you don’t get the joke, read his book), signed my book with a little note, (not just his name), posed for some photos with me, and gave me a big hug when I left. And not just me. He did this with everyone! He is a legitimately nice person and a good soul. And he’s funny as hell. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Gulman is great. He is one of those that fall under the category of “your favorite comedian’s favorite comedian” amongst the newer generations of comedians.

Nice interview, but when we have passed the story you choose to highlight in the title five minutes into the video, I doubt the rest of the video is worth sticking around for. But Gary Gulman rocks, so I’m here for it.

I always wondered why Gary was never a guest on Comedians In Cars. Now I know that he just cannot stand Seinfeld, who know doubt knows that Gulman is the same kind of comic as he is only much funnier. I saw Gary perform last year in Tarrytown, NY and he just railed at Seinfeld.

I agree. They’re both very precise in their approach. I love them both but Gary’s one of my all time favorites!
