I had the opportunity to Tour the Mahan Collection Foundation's old truck and equipment collection. It was impressive to say the least and these picture don't do it justice.

Watched it start to finish. Absolutely phenomenal, what else can be said? Viewing this makes me think that this equipment along with the men who ran it built the early infrastructure in this country. I think preserving the equipment pays tribute to the men who ran it. On another note, about half way thru was a Cat 30 with a blade. The lift arrangement on it is the same as the one I have for my 60. I’m missing some parts and the picture will aid in my building parts and mounting mine. Thanks ever so much for your time to post this slide show.

Excellent job putting this video together. It took me about 30 seconds of watching to decide Beethoven's 9th wasn't "over the top" and absolutely appropriate. Well Done.

I like how the inside tables have radiator shroud end caps! 😀 That's a cool idea. Thanks for recording and doing the editing. I know with a 40+ minute video that took a *while* Frank. Nice finds and great video my friend 🙂👍

I saved this one to share with others who visit this old man... its a trip down memory lane for me. I operated or drove a lot of old equipment like this and my dad owned a lot of the different logging equipment that I worked on a early mechanic.... thank you

Morning Frank!!! I Love those FK Model Macks!! They are tough looking!! I still have pictures of my sister(she's gone) & me sitting on the fenders of my Grandfather's neighbors new 1964 B Model Mack tandem dump truck....this is what intiated my wrenching career, which I had to leave 20 years ago for bad back reasons, you never see "old" truck mechanic's for a reason...great video Frank!!! Be safe! God Bless!!

Thank you! I had only seen pieces of the collection at shows. What a fabulous museum tribute to the trucking, quarry and construction industry. They built this country.

That white FORD truck. My local FD had a pumper truck like that up into the early 80s. Then the local drag/ Race track bought her. Still uses it a a Fire Engine for the Race track. My restoration project is a 1971 SeaGrave pumper For kids to get in cab. Have button just under wheel. The horn/ siren button. Put a old car alarm coaster small SIREN under dash. So kids can push button and it doesn't blow your ears off. Like the big Federal Q on the SeaGrave nose I fill the Air pack holder with different sizes to teach about different uses and sizes of Fire Extinguisher. The type different's. The different mixes of chemical inside for fighting fires.

I remember those GAS fuel pumps. They had them at a local remote store, by are summer cabin on the Canal. Two old sister's ran the store. You would hand pump up the gallons from ground tanks. Then gravity feed them into, in my case the 5 gallon out board motor tanks I mixed 50/50 Evinrude fuel for my 10 horse. Such works of art. Those restored TRUCKS look like. Those early Diesel Engines, so simple. And the sure start crank. None of do you have enough energy from a electric ( battery) to start her. Just your muscles with hard crank. A start every time. So simple design, no Engines covered with WIRES, HOSES.

Absolutely stunning. It must take days for it to be properly appreciated. Thank you. I thought that little tracked excavator where just the business end pivoted (towards the end of the vid) must have appealed to you

Been around a lot of that stuff. Saw some NICE Petercars too but MY at the DOGS! And I saw a BIG bus motor against a wall. Had to back up to be sure. And an Army 10 ton with lowboy. Winches behind the cab and the whole thing. Probably had a 903 in it. If you didn't wear your shooting finger out, you should have. THANKS, Pal and GBWYall!

I think this is the group that bought the huge Mack truck tractor that was out near JFK. There was a you tube of them moving it.

Wow what an impressive collection, one thing that keeps coming to my mind after watching the entire 40 plus minutes show, is this museum open to the public or for private viewing only, I know its quite costly to keep all of this large equipment under roof but some of the outside machines I sure was thinking could at least benefit from an awning, quite impressive, thank you for sharing this amazing collection.

i think its by appointment only. he takes some of the stuff to shows like Macungie. some of the outside stuff is far from functional and just painted so thats probably why they aren't as concerned about it being under cover
