Love listening to Simon Jordan. I couldn’t put my finger on why at first, despite the obvious facts and strong opinions but it’s how he’s such a good speaker, articulate, confident and precise. Notice how he never says umm or errr between sentences, that’s quite a talent.

Simon entirely right. A lot of very average players getting 200k a week 10m a year. So many of these players don't even have the most basic of skills.

Next time you watch a game just notice how many mistakes players make in controlling the ball, passing the ball. 99% can't use their weaker foot except for standing on. Notice how many players when they shoot at goal miss by more than 10 yards. Or just watch a Harry maguire video.

21:20 this is what I like about Simon, says it how it is! Too many times, we're pandered to, by these so-called overpaid professionals. The quicker fans start reminding these players that their performances are woeful the better. Yes, boo them, yes criticise them, but do it respectfully! Maguire has been dire all season, but the recent bomb threats to him and his family, are without a doubt disgusting and uncalled for. If you're a professional athlete and soak up the credit (cheers), when you've done well, you must take the criticism (boos), when you're performances are below par; Pogba is no different and should be held accountable!

I think we must consider that phycology has changed amongst players, this seems to have co-insided with social media. We seem to have replaced work ethic pride , with self vertue and large salaries entitlement. Social media promotes this and feeds of it .

MU players are overpaid and a lot of them are just collecting wages. Some of the non performers even want increased wages! There is a sense of entitlement without performing. Simon is right standards have lowered for increased wages plus sky high transfer fees

34 million a year isn't even that much. The NFL has 8 players that make over 40 million a year. Aaron Rogers makes 50. Steph Curry makes 45. And there are a lot more EPL fans in the world compared to NFL or NBA. The teams are making more and more money as they expand their markets and the players are starting to see some of it.
