This week, Gary O’Neil was announced as Wolves’ new head coach.
It took little time for the boss to get down to work with his team as they prepare for a trip to Manchester United on Monday - and you can now watch the latest from his first training session at Compton Park.

Never seen other managers doing this. Proper down to earth lad is Gary. Let's hope he instills these work ethics and commitment into the team and lets them express themselves come game time

Did a great job at little Bournemouth and respect for that....Wolves are a top 10 historical club with players that have bigger egos....i hope he handles that, however I don't think he'll succeed even though he has better players...god I hope I'm wrong. Coyw

It looks like Gary O'Neil is very down to earth, hard working and hands on. By the end of the video the lads were sweating absolute buckets. Shows how intensive his training sessions are. Wolves are going to smash it this season. Up The Wanderers! 🧡 🖤 🐺 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Great to see players such as Jonny playing with some confidence again. Feel like they could get into some good form under Gary. His best stint at Bournemouth was when he let the players express themselves on the pitch and that's exactly what I think would suit some of our lads. Need the lads to be on Gary's side and play the football he wants and we'll be fine. UTW

Seemed a quiet start, but once they got going they really seemed to enjoy it. Good to see a manager right there amongst it, not relying on assistants as much. I'm rather optimistic having seen this, we jut need some luck with injuries with a small squad.

Whilst it’s important to remain even Keeled, I rather enjoyed watching that high octane session. Good communication from the coaches and players, with high intensity pressing, and advancing the ball as quickly as possible in tight spaces. The lads looked like they enjoyed that. Tough season ahead, but I’ll back this team all the way. COYW 🐺🐺🐺

I think what the problem was with julen was during his career he was a gk which doesn't help because he would have trained different to other players but Gary seems to be a tough manager and he just rlly wants to put the team to work and this is what is good about gary he is tough and he is a hard worker. At last... installing a proper premier league tempo and work ethics into the lads. For years we've been flat. Badly needed energy ! Fitness, desire and pushing eachother is key. That's the best session I've seen our lads go through in years. Impressive

Well he aint going to fail through a lack of of effort and enthusiasm is he? We need a siege mentality down the mol this season. Everybody has written us off including some of our own. As long as we stay with the team and the manager, mid table shouldn't be beyond us.

He looks a good coach, but that is different to being a good Premier League manager. Wish the team the best and he may surprise us but we'll find out his abilities when we need a plan b c or d in a game , see if he can adapt. I have doubts he has enough experience but wish him good luck.

Wolves need a shake up, although l was sad to see Julen go l think the change with Gary coming in will be the start of a good rebuild. Providing no injuries, we take our chances and few signings in January then l think we will do well. Wolves wont be relegated. We need to back Gary O`Neil, he`s got a huge opportunity to do well and inherited a good starting XI.

This is what you call drilling, and for some of the players - the sergeant major in the square style - it is going to take a bit of time getting used to it.
