My wife told me that the auto dry wasn’t advancing. However, the timer was advancing on the other timer modes, but there was no heat at any setting. It turns out the thermal fuse was blown. Once that was replaced, the dryer had heat but the auto dry still did not work properly until the cycling thermostat was replaced. No lint build-up. I heated up the cycling thermostat and it was switching well before 155 degrees. None of my hair dryers could get the temperature above 155.

My Maytag gas dryer heats and cycles fine, but the flame doesn't completely shut off after the cycle. Even with the dryer unplugged, a small flame stays lit in the burner assembly until i shut off the gas.

Our whirlpool dryer spins up as soon as it's plugged in. It only stops if door is open or unplugged. Even with the power button turned off or on it doesn't matter. I haven't seen this issue described here. What is the problem?
