I like your videos because your honest,I watch lots of plumber videos and some are more concerned about having the pipes all nice and shiny, like you say it is time consuming so I assume they are more costly if they spend more hours on a job
@PlumbLikeTom2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, I just try to show things how they are, not everything I do is perfect but sometimes thats the reality of the job, as long as the job is safe and left neat and tidy customers are always happy, thanks for the support 😀

Great Tom👍👍 The Silverline heavy duty 15mm/22mm compression spanner(blue one) is exactly the same spanner, but half the price of the Monument one. Also, there’s cheap wide jaw adjustable spanners available, I’ve used a Ronson one from B&M Bargains, only about 6 quid, fantastic value. But always. Buy Knipex Cobras, they’re the Dogs Bollox for grips, no equal!! Thanks mate👍👍

Great vid Tom as always . For gas runs on external walls do you protect it with any coating against corrosion ? I’m sure every one I’ve seen recently has nothing .. just 22m pipe clipped

I need a new boiler, heat only, open vent system, which one would you advise Tom? Peace brother.
@PlumbLikeTom9 ай бұрын
I mainly fit Baxi due to the fact of the 10 year warranty, filter in the box and the fact you don't need a pump overrun, being able to rear flue is sometimes handy as well, obviously different installers will have different opinions, all boilers have good and bad bits to them, but certainly from an installer point of view and ease of servicing Baxi would be my choice if it was my house

Hi can you help me I have a combo boiler and mains water 💦 supply I know how to turn the water off we had work done and water was off a while and now it driving me nuts knocking sounds from the pipes as water back on all air out the taps upstairs and downstairs but we only get knocking some times and then nothing through out the night I know it’s got nothing to do with your videos which I love by the way what can I do ! Thank you 🙏🏻
@PlumbLikeTom3 ай бұрын
Was the system converted to a combi, I've had it before where the old hot has been capped in the airing cupboard and has airlocked when filling back up, this can cause knocking. Other things could be a loose pipe not clipped or it could even be water hammer on the stop tap. The washer may have come loose when turning off the water and it's vibrating inside the stop tap. If it's none of them you could put a shock arrestor on the cold main near the stop tap

Can you use that sucker to get oil through the line.

It doesn't really suck oil lines very well, it does sort of work but it gets a bit messy, I do have a specific oil puller that vacuums the line and pulls it through with no mess
