Lots done as inside jobs. Also, can't get employees to show up at work. How in the hell you think they are going to actually do their jobs - those who do show up. Ypu have a few witb work ethic people working and a bunch of shits working who do bare minimum. The ones w work ethic try to carry the load --- and get burned out. . Thos standing and goofing off get paid same as the workers. This is worse now than ever.

​@@citytrees1752 Yes, cash SHOULD BE king. But recently, I attempted to pay cash at a restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia and was refused. Only debit or credit cards would be accepted. Why? High crime area (On a main street!) where robberies for cash exists. Apparently, the phrase, "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE" on our paper currency doesn't mean anything.

That's why the dollar bill "cash" is being phased out and replaced with electric money ie bitcoin, cryptocurrency, "card only" transactions, etc. It won't be long now.

95% of the time it is the station owners or employes. I saw a recent video where someone found one in a credit card reader inside the station beside the cash register. No way on earth someone walked in there and installed that 3 feet from where the clerk stands. THe one I saw they asked the clerk and he just covered his face and walked away- obviously he knew.

@@nightmarerex2035 I think there is a lot of truth to that. My profession is City Management which means my police department submits all the crime stats and so on and copy me on it. I can tell you that shoplifting has gotten 4 times (that isn't a figurative number, its a real one, as in we had 4 times more petty theft reports in 2023 than in 2022 for the same time period. Of course you've seen that on the news too with all these group thefts in stores. The people we arrest these days are mostly still just drug addicts and teenagers, but there are definantely a growing number of what you'd call working poor - people who have jobs but just can't make ends meet due to the high cost of groceries and other goods. So yes, I think the economy is a factor in a lot of the crimes we see now days.

They dont watch the cameras 24-7 they only play it back after something happens. A camera can record a crime and it doesnt stop the criminal, if they dont watch the video untill long after.

that's the thing... they don't have to open it again. the current models use their own wifi so the criminal can access the data without opening.

@@error.418 We've been getting wifi, bluetooth, and cell skimmers. In many cases the cell skimmers call in real time, download the data, and it's not even in the US so there's no way to go after them. We recommend if you suspect a pump checking for a wifi signal, bluetooth signal, or going to a different place. We find them almost exclusively at stations that are in the interstate, so they get lots of people who are passing through.

I use my card almost exclusively, and have never paid one penny of interest.

Arms races are healthy (that's how our brain evolved). Using government brute force only creates a bigger weak point: the government itself. Manufacturers should most definitely not be punished.

@@alterego3734 , Your above assertion works great in theory. In reality, anyone making a device whose only purpose is to aid and abet crime is in fact a criminal. That is why the makers of skimmers must be punished. Multiple use electronic tools are a different story.

@@poa2.0surface77 Not sure what you’re talking about. Mine Model Y been running flawlessly for last 2.5 years. Build quality is excellent. Battery and transmission warranty is for 8 years or 120,000 miles. Only accident or flood damage is not covered under warranty.
