The section in the van at 2:35 is almost silent. If you add a compressor and then normalizer on the audio channel it will even the levels out and prevent that.

Thank you you advise. I have bought a VW Golf year 2011 TDI Bluemotion. The issue I have started 2 months ago is gas smell inside the car. It is strong smell and the bluemotion stop to work at the same time. I feel the engine works harder and the heat cooler work heavy. First I saw a engine light showing partikelfilter. After check the instruction book VW wrote some guide how to generate egr while driving in 3 gear at 3000 speed rate. I did that and the light dissapier. Now the problem is that sometimes I feel bluemotion stop working and gas smell in the cabin. I don't have any engine light and I did partikelfilter cleaning for 300$. I was sure the issue was partikelfilter bur after the cleaning the same problem is left. What can it be and how can I solve it quick???

Hi. Thanks for sharing your video. I recently had my fuel tank replaced, and when I first left the shop it broke down and wouldn’t start (Hose wasn’t connected properly). Now I smell strong gas fumes, while driving, especially when accelerating. The shop double-checked for leaks, cracks, and proper sealing, but came up empty. The car is fairly new (Roughly 33,000 miles) Any thoughts on what can be causing the smell? Thank you.

Is there a check engine light, does the smell seem like it’s coming from under the hood or from back of the car. Need to check Evap hoses make sure there’s nothing cracked, is it a constant smell if the tank is full or Empty

I am going crazier that i am normally. 2012 Cadillac SRX 3.6 L. Very bad gas smell with no codes. I had a MAP sensor code but nothing now. I have changed the following: Purge Valve, MAP sensor, PCV valve, MAF sensor. Checked vacuum lines in engine compartment with break cleaner. No luck. I am not a mechanic so please give me some help.

I have an 03 Ford Expedition with 5.4 and P0442 code., I replaced the fuel cap reset and code came back. I smell fuel at rear of vehicle. For the longest time, at certain pumps like Sams, it will overfill and spill. I have to listen when close to full. Also I recently replaced the fuel pump relay in fuse box. What do you suggest I look at next?

I have BMW e90 n52 engine and I don’t have any fault code but smell gas from the outside of car. No visible leak I can tell. Don’t see any gasoline on the floor. Looked at the fuel pump under the seat and it was wet and dirt but no visible leak. Smell was not that strong as compare to outside the car (parked in garage). Any idea where to look next? last year my 2010 escape got a recall for a reason that could cause fumes in the car and they had to take out my back seats to get at something. now i wasn't having problems with the fumes before the fix but i have been ever since. the ford tech said i might be able to smell gas for a little bit then it would go away but it's been a year now, i really don't want to take it back to them because they seem to create problems and not fix any, any input at what i should look at? ii should add i only smell fumes when i fill it past 3/4 of a tank, anything below that is fine.

You definitely shouldn’t smell gas even after a repair there should not be a gas smell when I get back to work on Monday I will do some research what is your engine size and I will get back to you Monday evening with an answerI have plenty of resources to look up this problem I run an automotive shop I will be glad to help

@@AutoRepairTips757 i cant thank you enough even for looking, i got the 3.0L v6, with the price of gas so low i wanted to take advantage and fill up but anything past 3/4 tank and it stinks until the level drops below and then its ok. And the recall repair they did was underneath the back seat.

After doing some checking and what you told me there’s an O-ring that goes around your fuel pump and if they were in there working on that fuel pump they may not have seated that gasket correctly an easy way to look at it is pick your backseat up take out the 4 or 5 bolts that hold the cover on the access cover to your fuel pump ho ahead and fill it up and see if you see anything coming out or any wetness around that fuel pump gasket if you don’t feel comfortable doing that you might want to take it to a shop but it’s pretty cut and dry

So I changed my Fuel pump on a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis and now the gas thermometer reads CO on gas gauge and MPG gauge also leak gas from center to gas tank and a little to left any ideas on the causes ?

I replaced the gas tank...My pontiac vibe seems to still leak from somewhere on top of the tank only when I fill it up. Thoughts?..Then after a few hours it gradually subsides. I replaced the tank because the tank itself leaked. Now it appears something else is at the very top somewhere ONLY when filled up.

Most likely when you put the fuel assembly in there’s a o ring on top if you don’t set that correctly when you fill your car up all the way you’ll smell gas and it could leak a little you need to make sure the O-ring is set correctly

(Your website says that it is private). I have an '02 3.0L Duratec Ford Taurus with a gas smell. I used a gas sensor to check all over the car, and I found that the smell is coming from the rear passenger side below where the gas cap is. There's no gas smell around the engine. I don't see any evidence of a gas leak, but I can sure smell it. Does the Taurus have a evap system or charcoal box ? I saw another video that says that some cars have that, and it could be the source of the smell. But anyway, I need to fix that smell. It's been that way for about a year. I'm thinking from your video that I'm gonna need to drop the tank. That doesn't sound like any fun. BTW...there hasn't been a check engine light on. I have one of those plug in trouble code testers, and it doesn't show any trouble codes. Thanks for the video. I was happily surprised to see that it was specifically an '02 Taurus .

Does it smell like raw gas or does it smell like gas fumes from an exhaust system. If you smell Raw gas then most likely you have a leak under the hood and you definitely need to get that checked out as soon as possible, if it smells more like gas fumes from an exhaust and your car is running really rich you should put a scanner on it and check your readings on your car make sure your fuel injectors are working correctly and your O2 sensors are reading correctly either way it doesn’t sound like it’s too safe to drive so make sure you get a checked out as soon as possible

I have an Audi 2008 A4 quattro convertible and all of a sudden white smoke came out of my muffler with a strong fuel smell. What can it be? I was looking into it on Google and it says it can be a blown head gasket and I know that's in the engine and very expensive but can it be something else? I'm hoping is something cheaper. I notice the car consumes oil but then again it's a turbo. I don't really know I just got the car as a gift from my sister she didn't drive the car for 2 years and had it in a garage. I have a 2013 Equinox that had a few problems that has so far led to me changing the throttle body and vvt solenoids. It runs somewhat better, but now I'm literally getting 300 miles to a tank and for the last few days I have smelled gas for a brief time here and there. It’s possible you need to put a fuel pressure gauge on it take some readings, also if you’re smelling raw gas you need to get that checked out as soon as possible

I would have to say while sitting and when I take off from a stop, then it fades. And it doesn’t happen every time which made me think I was just smelling another car’s exhaust through the air conditioner, but it has happened when no other cars are around. I have a 2002 Honda Accord. I only smell gas fumes when I come to a full stop & park. No Raw Gas smell....just light fumes. My mechanic lifted the car and did a check, and found no leaks. Do you have any advice? Thank you in advance.

do you have any oil leaks under your hood. i had a customer come in and thought he was smelling gas and after i checked it out he had a oil leak we repaired it and the smell went away

My 2009 Toyota Corolla smells fuel every time I fill it up. Then smell goes away when the tank reaches half. Can you please let me know what the problem is? Thanks

+jitender dahiya Have you had anybody lower the gas tank and look on top sometimes the O-ring that holds the fuel pump in Will leak also there’s a lot of plastic fittings that will crack and leak not sure where you live but if you live in an area that vehicles Have a tendency to rust you could have a little rust issues going on top of the tank I’ve seen that a lot also

Auto Repair Tips yes I have got it checked from the dealer. He couldn’t find any leak and said I must have fillled it too much. Just made an excuse instead of fixing the issue. Taking to an independent mechanic on Monday. Thanks

@@GhostsQueen85 Check something for me first I’ve done a video on this in the past sometimes especially on a Honda the valve cover gasket is leaking oil a little bit and burning off and when you turn the heat on it pulls some of those fumes from under your hood into the car and it smells like gas a little bit just make sure you don’t have Oil leaking from anywhere under the hood check that first

I have a 2012 Ford escape XLT. Overwhelming fuel smell inside the cabin. No smell outside. No check engine light/code. No visible leaks. Gas mileage seems fine (I have only driven it a couple of times since it started smelling). Strong smell even when it's sitting. Any idea what could be causing this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a 95 Nissan Pathfinder and it smells like gas in the rear when I start it and drive, Also has a hissing sound coming from the rear, I cant figure out were it's coming from, Dont see any leaks yet and it's been going on for about 5mnths...Any idea?

+Warren Leonard The hissing sound is definitely a vacuum leak if it sounds like you hear air. Is the gas smell all the time or just when you fill it up

It sounds like you have a leak in your EVAP system you need to find that vacuum leak and fix it it’s possible your gas tank is not breathing correctly because of the vacuum leak if you hear it above your gas tank try to look up there and see Where it’s coming from

I can only put about 8 gallons of gas in my car before it starts leaking out from the bottom near the front of my back wheel and then I get the gas smell in the car ..this started after I changed the fuel pump on my 03 G35 coupe any ideas why it's doing that ?

when you put the new fuel pump in did you use a new o-ring, that seals the fuel pump so it doesn't leak.
