Having spent way too much time Googling fixes for a gas top burner not working and getting nowhere, your 'Super Easy' way of curing the problem fixed it in less the 2 minutes. A paper clip did the trick. Going from not working at all (no gas/flame) to like brand new, guess who gets a thumbs-up?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! After cleaning all the gunk off the top of my large burner, I had barely any flame coming out. I was just about to call a gas technician ($75 just for the call out fee!!!), but I tried your idea first and now my burner flame is stronger than it's ever been! 🔥🔥🔥 During cleaning I must have gotten some of the baked on food into that little hole. But after poking around in it with some fuse wire, it's working perfectly! Liked and subscribed!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! I was this/close to giving up and buying a new appliance when I found your video, and it fixed the burner almost immediately! (I didn't have any paperclips, so I first used a thin nail, then I shaved down a wooden shish kebab skewer point to really get in there, and that did the trick.

Wow! I could just KISS you! This is fantastic! I used a wood shish kabob skewer. It took three seconds. Night and day difference! Literally, I'd been suffering with weak flame on the main burner for years. I knew cleaning it involved poking with something sharp, but I'd been putting the poker in the wrong place. This video showed exactly where to clean. Once I cleaned it and turned the burner on, it was SO STRONG that it scared me--I jumped back! Not dangerous, just back to its old strength. Did it by myself. Wow! Grateful!!

I'm so glad many people have been successful with this cleaning trick. For me it was a bit different. Immediately after the first time using a paper clip I got a big nice flame. I turned it off after a few seconds and the next time nothing, no gas sound coming out at all. I noticed there's one level at which I can put the clip in and then it can go another section in down further. Each time I go in there with a clip it works for a second or two and then is gone again. Almost like perhaps something got released then fell down further and is clogging somewhere else. Is it possible/suggested to loosen that brass nut and clean out inside?

Thank you. I just tried this. My burner was so clogged, it wouldn't light automatically anymore and the flame was really weak. I poked the jet with a paperclip for a bit as you instructed, and bingo: immediate, automatic start and large flame. Much appreciated. Thanks. Now, do you also have a suggestion of what to do about an oven light that keeps burning out? In the past 6 months, every appliance bulb burns out within days. What's going on?

hey can you explain this, I had a problem with a low flame on one of my front burners. I did the toothpick method to clean the tiny hole. I assemble the burner back. I test the stove to see If i fixed the problem. But instead of hearing the normal sound of gas escaping(My stove ignition does not work anymore) I heard it in a high pitch hiss sound of gas escaping. every other burner is just making the sound in normal pitch, but not my left front burner(My left front burner is making a high pitch gas escape sound, or unusually sound)

Is it normal to have the amount of yellow flashes in the flame as is shown at the end of your video? I keep reading the flame should be blue and mine mostly is, but it does have those yellow flashes.

Cool, But i came here for a hack that fixed one that is crappy by design. LOL it wold be awesome to have my weak up front left burner BLAZING, I don't know why they out it there, The top right burner is already a weak burner. makes me mad. I am rebuilding a wolf out back right now though so hopefully I will have zero problems when that is done and installed. away with the kitchen aid! LOL

There is a small brass nut with a tiny hole in the middle that’s called a jet. You just take a straighten paper clip and push it down into that tiny little hole and wiggle around to get the debris out.

+Russ t Hi Russ, I would try it again and maybe try some electrical cleaner spray . Let it sit for 15 minutes before you try to light it to let the spray vapor disappear . The vapor is flammable.
