Both very capable players, I would say the Tenere is obviously bigger heavier and that takes it’s toll, i swapped from a Tenere to the smaller bike for this reason, but having said that, it depends on your ability and own preference too, I set my GasGas up for off road use, it would need tyre changes etc to make it more comfortable for the road again…but it’s versatile and that’s another great plus point to it. The ES700 is like a bigger brother of a fully dedicated enduro bike, it’s agile and very capable, the Tenere would be more suited to “trail” riding green lanes etc but not maybe your hardcore trials or singletrack, again people do, but it’s about your limits, and the bike might suffer the damage due to its limitations and weight etc…

I’ve had the pleasure of using it now off road mostly since last June 22, it’s a go to bike, it’s so much fun, it’s easy to ride and has tons of power delivery, low speed takes getting used to, but it’s works well and the gearing is still stock, there plenty of options to make it more manageable, I’ve got used to keeping the revs up in technical stuff 👍
